It was also brought up by someone else that sitting Abreu v the lefty on Saturday seemed like the probable plan.

"Everyone plays" should involve playing the guy who has hardly played, at all- the hottest one-- ABREU!!!

This is a major head-scratcher.

Masas better do well!

this has always been one of my biggest gripes about Cora. sit the hot hitter for a guy that's been stinking it up lately.

Agree, and then to top it off, he sometimes does it vs the wrong handed pitcher.

Well, Verdugo and Crawford making the Betts trade look lopsided, which it may have been. Warning to some: Sarcasm present)

What did Crawford have to do with that trade? Or were you referring to Crawford retiring Betts first two times?

Devers is hitting .220 on outside pitches, so what does he swing at on a 3-0 count? Of course, an outside pitch. Very frustrating batter to watch. Edited by SPLENDIDSPLINTER

Devers has always been his own worst enemy with swing decisions

How many times has Devers swung on an o-3 count? NEVER!

On 3-0 counts, yes, and many for HRs.

His OPS when swinging on 3-0?

2.170

In the 12 times he swung, he's got 5 hits, including 3 HRs.

I saw the error of my ways and did correct it.

All of a sudden Cora is Captain Hook. Very good job by Kutter tonight.

Oh, come on. He has held Crawford to a max of 90 pitches, and he had 86 and was clearly "done" with two straight hits--hard hit double and hard hit single-- to start off the 6th inning.

The problem is Pivetta has been a freaking disaster and is still in there.
