Yes, exactly.

So when you said, "Cora should have brought the lefty. Pivetta was pretty much done. This is on Cora though." The lefty would have had to stay in for 3 batters, including vs some righties.

Lol what? Bernardino should have faced Muncy, and get out of the inning, that’s the point.

One thing that can be said about the Dodgers; they spend a lot of money, but they do spend it wisely.

Like on Shane Bieber?

So, the coach should have changed Turner's approach, too?

You can’t be this dumb. And this is not about approach lol.

You assume he gets Muncy out.

The LOOGY idea is dead.

What Roberts is doing right now is what Cora should have done with Pivetta when he faced Muncy. The rest is history.

I love how so many people think it's as easy as a coach telling a player, "be more patient," or "don't swing at bad pitches," and it works.

Next, we hear you bitching when a player takes a called third strike, and why doesn't the coach tell him to swing at those.

Like it's that easy.

Talk about "being that dumb."

Then is not about the rule? Lol

Yeah! Odds say that a lefty-lefty situation would have been more convenient, mostly when you see Pivetta sinking.

Then, yeah, everything can happen.

i've seen more competent 7 year olds running the bases than some of the idiots on this team.

But, but it’s not on Cora

Is Wong retarded?

Your 2023 Boston Red Sox are.

As I said, this team is terribly coached, and very likely terribly trained as well.

The point is, managers rarely make pitching changes based on just the next batter. They have to look at the next 3.

The Monday morning QBing gets absurd on these game threads.

Pivetta has been one of our best pitchers in the last 2 months. He did not get the job done, tonight, and somehow, it's Cora's fault.

It's always Cora, Cora, Cora...

As I said, this event, it’s only a sample of the atrocious performance at fundamentals of this 2023 team.

You can keep justifying them though.

Actually, the Sox bullpen has stunk tonight. Bernardino was lucky because he walked a guy and still got two very hard hit line drives that were caught for outs. Pivetta stunk, Bernardino was lucky, and Schreiber has stunk.

The Dodgers bullpen has pitched two scoreless innings.

The Sox have 13 hits and have scored 4 measly runs. No surprise they are 1 for 8 with RISP.

oh, i'm with ya'. s***** base running mistakes and leading the league in errors every year. something isn't right.

This team is terribly coached — and trained. Terribly.

You don’t need a PhD in Baseball to know that.

Would you go with Bernardino or Pivetta vs Muncy? That’s the point.

My choice is a pretty easy one.

It was a 1-run game, two outs and men on second and third btw

Again, If you can’t see that Pivetta was cooked then you need to look at other job, but again, Bernardino was the better option vs Muncy regardless.

Not to mention, these days every game counts.

There must be something bad that happens during the game that is the manager's fault. I remember Joe Torre once said when he was managing the Yankems, "I just make out the line-up and then I get out of the way."
