Houck couldn’t be trusted to go another batter.

Houck was as good as I've seen him this season. I would have left him in even though Schwarber got that clean single last time up.

Bleier showed me nothing. In fact, my guess is that the only good thing he has is throwing lefty vs. lefty hitters.

3rd time through the order everyone knows Houck sucks. That was the right move. Houck had trouble with that part of the batting order the 2nd time through.

IB man tagged first base.

At which point runner can go to either first or second. 1B was unoccupied.

This never happens because the runner usually takes off. Yoshida thought the ball was going to be caught.

That"s why he went back.

Why wasn't that a GIDP?

Phillie 1st sacker tagged first base first, then Yoshida, removing the force. Easy DP if he does it the other way around.

Right move: taking Houck out.

Wrong move: brining in Bleier or Brasier.

That being said, if Bloom found someone to replace those two, this may not happen.

Cora concedes, the streak is over. The janitor Brasier comes in to sweep up the elephant poop

I love when someone says this kind of thing.

Actually I Stand corrected. I didn’t realize they sent him back down for Littell

Ah, ok. Thought there was an even newer update.

Bleier pitching himself towards a DFA.

Reminds of that LA Dodgers manager--I think this is right--in the playoffs who said he was going to pull his starter no matter what after 6 innings. The starter pitched great, but got pulled, and the other team blasted the bullpen to win.

I get the stats, the third time through the order, etc. It's become holy writ these days.

Unfortunately, I also looked at the freaking box score for this freaking game.

Against the top of the Phillies order, third time through, no good, worthless, can't get anyone out third time through Houck K'd Trea Turner, gave up a single to Bryce Harper, and got Castellanos to ground out.

That's when Schwarber came to bat and Houck got pulled.

Cora brought in a reliever, who to me looked awful, and the reliever got killed.

So, yes, I stand by my assertion that Cora made a bad move. And I like Cora a lot.

Bleier now has a ERA of 6 .

The Sox could do with some help from the left side.

Bernardino has been pretty good. And Joely Rodriguez comes back soon.

Bleier for Barnes looks like we dealt right-handed poop for left-handed poop…

Just heard that Vida Blue died earlier today. Damn good pitcher.

I was way too young to have seen him play but literally last night me and my friends were talking about him because he’s always nasty in MLB the show. Sad to hear

75 pitches....Cora thought Kluber was pitching.

Nice job over managing.

Cora previously sent Houck back out AFTER he gave up 6 runs.

He’ll probably somehow get the he hook before Brasier, which is crazy

Not that I want either on the team….

Also, let's try this one on for size. Cora brought in a reliever, and the got killed.

Tampa manager. The Dodgers were the team that blasted the bullpen.

That was in 2020 and the pitcher was Blake Snell. I believe he was going to pull him after two times through the lineup, so 6 IP was a maximum (and hopefully an unlikely one)…
