Top unsigned guys per FanGraphs projected fWAR:

Eovaldi

Kluber

Wacha

Smyly

Duffy

Miley

Minor

Greinke

Hill

Cueto

Lyles

Weaver

Pineda

Earlier, he stated that he wanted someone that could provide INNINGS and help lead the staff. Is that Kluber? Maybe? It's definitely underwhelming for the starting rotation, but I didn't really expect much from this FA class.

Smyly is deleted (Cubs).

If they wait out the market, they could maybe sign Kluber AND Eovaldi anyway.

Brilliant! Bloom will get the best bargains.

I have a feeling that 2b might just be a rotating cast of characters: Arroyo, Valdez and whatever guys they churn through the bottom of the 40 man.

Maybe they'll get a cheap FA backup like Mendick or Iggy.

Hey, people are looking for a spot for Bobby Dee, or should I say Booby Dee, and he did play some 2B , last year!!!

Without shifting, I don't think lumbering guys can be put at 2b anymore.

This is a great point, your 2b now will have to be just as good as your SS without the shifts. Pedroia type

To me, Story had moments that were reminiscent of Pedey at 2b. He was really good there.

Many moments, and maybe much more to come, if he can play 155 games at 2B.

Already did with Pax, and Frail.

Strike one!

DD extended Frail.

I was thinking Nat, JD, Wacha and Hill- all old, hurt or both.

Seems like bringing back the team many hated was what many wanted.

Everyone in the universe knows who signed Frail to the extension, and anyone being cheap wasn’t the point. Old, and injured was, and Frail is as old, and injured as you can get.

Probably not as much as Bloom's name.

I would say Bloom’s name gets mentioned more than anyone else on here, there, and everywhere. Lots of first, and last names too.

Everyone in the universe knows who signed Frail to the extension, and anyone being cheap wasn’t the point. Old, and injured was, and Frail is as old, and injured as you can get.

Back in post 2355, there was some dope who said Bloom did. Unless of course that dope was implying Sale should have been traded, which is even funnier. Pitchers about to have TJ surgery and owed $145mill over the next 5 years might not be in the highest of demand…

No. Now, this is "strike two," as you like to call it. We were responding to a post that said this...

Bloom is hiring only wounded old dogs.

To which you replied, Already did with Pax, and Frail.

No, Bloom did not do that with "Frail.

Now, I expect you to go on and say we are overanalyzing of double down on being wrong rather than admit you made yet another mistake. It's what you do.

Words have different meanings to him, so there is that, like when he said I "don't like Bogey, of his defense either," that meant just his defense. He doubled and tripled down on what he said meaning something totally different from its actual meaning rather than just say, "That's what I meant to say."

Go back to your conspiracy theory like the Red Sox are going to make Raffy a DH, so they can hold the asking price down on a new contract. Ridiculous! Holding the asking price down on Raffy ship has sailed.

Method #1: Change the subject. Point out other posters' gaffes, sometimes from long ago, so yours are hidden or forgotten.

For someone who can’t figure out why it’s not the same thing to lose Pedro, or Boggs as it is to lose Mookie, Bogey, and Raffy for the fans when it was pretty clear in the first place, and others even tried to point it out to you, and you still don’t get, and you want to say something about others.

No gaffe at all. I know what I was saying, and the ridiculous DH statement was not long ago. Just because you like to play gotcha it works both ways.
