All you impatient posters -- just because other big market teams are signing stars, and mid-markets are signing consolation prizes and making trades.

Only a few have convinced themselves they have it figured it out: why spend money or prospects on a really good player when we're still going to suck? We all just need to bide our time, but still get to watch or attend big league games, because whomever the front office allows to wear Red Sox uniforms is literally in the majors.

Trust Chaim Bloom, who repeatedly tells us in interviews he will never rule anything out when it comes to his roster. It only looks like he won't pay market rates to homegrown fan favorites in their primes. After all, he paid Matt Barnes.

Other than catharsis, which is absolutely a legitimate reason, what purpose does complaining about it on a web forum that no one in the Sox FO has probably ever even heard of serve?

Most of us are diehard Red Sox fans who care way more about the Red Sox than the players waiting in the various dumpsters, bargain bins and flea markets who have yet to don a Boston uniform (nothing personal with them -- they just a want to get paid to play baseball). As for the front office, wouldn't it be remiss if it didn't pay attention to the different vibes of Red Sox Nation -- at least for PR damage control?

Of course you know we vent because this is a milieu where blokes of our ilk gather because of the addictions we share. I complain all the time about the Bloom Era because of what it has represented from the beginning for fans young and old. But lately, there have been more and more posters who are outraged, bitter, disconsolate and depressed.

It's definitely catharsis for me.

Like I have said many times this forum is just a small sample size of Red Sox fans, and I’ll just take a wild guess that more fans are more outraged than satisfied with the Bloom era.

Is it really providing relief or just adding to the emotions?

It does seem to help me deal with the frustration, temporarily at least. I'm sure it's different for everyone.

Good point. A lot fans in New England are currently incredulous they "let" Bogaerts leave, while most of us here knew it was happening since -- some will say when they signed Story; I said it the day last spring they offered Boras a one year extension. We all know Xander would have signed for a lot less than $280M last summer if the Sox stepped up.

My frustration has been since Bloom started shopping Mookie. Now I have absolutely no hope whatsoever he'll sign Devers or Correa or Rodon or even Eovaldi.

I am just still really ticked off about all those quotes from last week about how a deal was going to get done and how Boras and the Sox were in strong negotiations.

@Sean_McAdam

One Red Sox person, asked by someone today whether the Sox would re-sign Bogaerts, answered without hesitation: “Yes.”

We now know it was probably just to get the Padres to increase their bid.

I thought it was a less than 50% chance that Xander would come back, but the lead up to the signing in SD really pulled the rug out from under the fans here. Just brutal. I'll keep posting through it I guess. :(

The media lies, perhaps fed by BorA$$ should not really make us any angrier at the Sox than we would have been had no immanent big Sox-Bogey signing crap came out.

The mood was a bit peepy after the Yoshida signing, when most of us felt Bogey was likely a goner, anyway.

It was the teaser stories than cut our legs out from under us, and left us pissed off.

First stop is overthrow the Red Sox regime….then we burn down the library in Alexandria.

Complete takeover of Kenmore. Rebuild the Rat.

Who is the richest Sox fan alive? Does he have more money than Cohen? We should start a petition to get him to buy the Sox. At the very least maybe Henry will grow his balls back.

Musk is a huge Sox fan.

Be careful what you wish for...

He’d be the owner and the GM. If he just insisted on signing checks I’d love it…..but that won’t happen.

Abigail Johnson is from MA. Her Dad, Edward, is also from MA and is super rich.

She’s about two times richer than cohen too. She’s also a woman, are there any woman owners? Could be a selling point.

Not much left for catching options.

There was talk we wanted to "add a catcher," but no word on him being a starter, back-up or organizational depth beyond Kaleb Hamilton.

Alex Scherff!!

He'd probably fire the whole staff and replace them with yes men who know nothing about baseball.

Her and her dad could be co-owners.

How do I get rid of these multiple quotes when I post on just this thread?

But Bloom said Bogey was the #1 priority, so it wasn't all media lies.

I think he was, I think the Sox legitimately wanted to work a deal out. They misjudged his market, or the market, and had no ambition to match $280 million.

The fact that they didn’t resign him doesn’t mean he isn’t or wasn’t a priority. It just means they failed.

I would worry more about the lies that Kennedy, and Bloom are spewing that what the media, or Boris is throwing out.

But then there was their ludicrous offer before the season.

I just can't give them the benefit of the doubt anymore.

They're not passing the smell test.
