See, this is what you do. That was the whole point of my post that YOU RESPONDED TOO. So if you're NOT saying that....what are you saying?

He just blasts away at other poster's opinions while acting like we are saying our opinions are facts.

He won't give specifics, himself, lest he be accused of getting something wrong, but he sure enjoys pointing out how everyone else, including Bloom, is wrong.

"We need to improve the pen." No s***, Sherlock. You can't go wrong with that. If we try to improve the pen and fail, we (or Bloom) are wrong, and he was right, because his "plan" was some vague statement.

HAHA, this is hilarious.

Yes, thats' fine but you have to live in a world with everyone elses opinions too. And when your opinions are NOT based in reality you shouldn't be surprised when people call you out on your bull. #truth

Here's the reality. If an Owner blew up the cap every year, eventually they stop receiving rebates which take a large chunk of their revenue and return it. If you do the math, you can see a team like the Boston Red Sox would be in the Red. Eventually, they would cease to exist or possibly be sold. As much as you don't give a s*** because "you do you" you do realize there are owners out there unlike Henry who has payrolls under 100K every year. Do you want the Red Sox to turn into the A's? Because if the Sox ran the team with no concern for the budget and started losing money, they'd be sold off and eventually that could happen.

People seem to confuse everyone is entitled to an opinion with every opinion that should be respected. I call ********. One of my best friend's mother was murdered in Sandy Hook, people had opinions that the families should dig up the graves of their deceased to prove they existed and used to harass them all the time. They had their "opinions" on what really happened. SO no, not all opinions should be respected. That's an extreme example, those people are evil, this is sports and not so serious, I don't think you're evil so I apologize for using an absurd analogy. But the point remains if your opinion isn't realistic....be prepared to have it attacked and if your only defense is "well that's just my opinion" then you aren't really defending it well.

Striking example, but very true.

The worst part, to me, is he calls me "extreme" for saying I don't think the pen is the highest need area based on what we have, now, at our top 4 areas of need.

SS: We have crap, or we can move Story or Kike there and create another crap position.

RF: We have Refsnyder and crap.

SP: We have Winckoski as our 5th best SP'er now.

Pen, We need serious help, but we already have several good RP['ers and a few promising ones.

I', called extreme for supporting my opinion.

None of us care about Henry’s wallet. Some of us acknowledge that he isn’t going to spend without limits.

And apparently some still think rich people are going to pay more money happily in order to make sure complete strangers are entertained…

No need to worry JH doesn’t care about your wallet either, they just announced ticket and concession price increases for 2023, for a last place team

Once again wrong again on your extreme scenario. I said that when you had your Jeter Downs, Duran, and the ref man scenario, and not your BP need. Get it right for once. Like I said you lead the league in scenarios, but are batting under 200 in doing so. At least you lead the league though. CONGRATS. Once again it wasn’t your opinion I said was extreme, but your scenario. Over analyzing got you being wrong again.

Saying we need a closer for a year now is as specific as it gets, and his not a vague statement. More of a reality.

You said what you said. I'm not listening to your alternative meanings for words, just like I don't listen to those who deny Sandy Hook.

You called me "extreme" and said, "You just don’t like others, and their opinion that the BP is the #1 need," because I disagreed and gave evidence to support my position.

Where do I sound like I "don't like others?"

You jump on us for making assumptions about your statements but then spew this nonsense.

The "scenario" you jumped on is our current depth chart- or close to it. Neither of us like Downs or Duran anywhere near the top of any depth chart at any position, but who else do we have? You won't give even one name other than players not on our roster.

We have severe needs at some slots. That was the simple point I was making. To me, it's more severe ate 3 other areas than the pen. I gave my reasons, and you jump all over them. That's you're right, but don't try to walk back what you said.

It's easy to never be wrong when you never name names. That is my point. I never said you are wrong to say it or that your statement is wrong.

There is nothing wrong with saying we need a solid closer. Almost all of us agree.

BTW, saying it's "more of a reality" sounds an awful lot like you are saying your opinion is fact- the very thing you bash me for doing, when I don't even do it.

Maybe you can vote with your feet and become some other team's fan.

Been a Red Sox fan longer than you, and I think I’ll stay a while longer, and I certainly don’t need your approval, or permission. WOW!

I said last year that Jansen, and Bard would have been better options than what they had, but of course you disagreed. Watching the games especially early in the season was reality enough for me, and confirmed my suspicion. You watching the games, and coming to a different conclusion is not surprising at all.

They do have balls raising prices. But as others have said, no one is forced to pay.

Personally I think a little unrest in the fanbase is not such a bad thing...

Attendance was the lowest last year since JH took over, so it will be interesting to see how the fans turn out in 2023.

The biggest thing you are extreme about is your constant over analyzing, and getting things wrong like your coming to a conclusion that I hated Cora. You were wrong then, and have been ever since. You interpret words, and turn it into something that fits what ever narrative you want to go on at the time, and the accuracy to you doesn’t matter at all. If I’ve got some to say I’m not afraid to say it, so I don’t have to walk anything back. Come on man!

Everyone's favorite hedge fund billionaire needs a little more income.

Old Red , I haven't been keeping up lately, but you must be doing pretty well because it looks like the Bloom crew are triple teaming you now.

Careful, Moon will tell you to become some other team’s fan the big authoritarian he thinks he is.

Even with Bogaerts $20 mil coming off the books, I don’t see the Sox making any big deals just the usual nickel and dime moves, maybe a front line starter, rumor mill has it they’re looking for a second baseman.

Just sounds like your swinging Swi's way without any deep analyzation, on my part.

Alert: just my opinion.

Talk about constant narratives.

It's not overanalyzing to think of the depth chart when trying to order your top priorities. If it's too deep for you to handle, then skip the hard parts.

You know why I don't have 3B on the top of my high need areas?

I think of the depth chart and see Devers.

I look at the SS position and see crap. Holy s***! That's too deep for you! Sorry!

I know you can’t help it, but You think you have to not just analyze, but micro analyze every word written on here, and when you do it doesn’t matter if what you come up with is right, or wrong. Imagine that you think you are so good at it that you can tell someone what they think better than they can. It’s not a gift at all for you, or anybody else. If you need a depth chart then good for you, but i don’t.

Wrong, but even if true, it beats thinking words don't matter or have alternative meanings known only to you.

It must suck thinking simple thoughts are overanalyzing.

It’s like you before last season started came to what you thought was an astute observation, and diagnosis that Bogey would be playing under much mental stress this past year, because playing along side Story when Bogey knew Story was a better defensive shortstop than he was. I don’t think Bogey thought that at all, but that’s what you come out with. Simple thoughts? You mean like you talking about ERod being in a mental institution. That showed what you are all about, so yes you proved that words do matter. Simple is as simple does.

A beautiful strawman you built, here.

Your favorite response when you can’t defend your words. Most times it’s actions speak louder than words, but in your case it’s the other way around. Your words tell the WHOLE story.
