Is 11 runs in an inning a crooked number or just goalposts ?

Someone may have already posted it but the modern record for runs by one team in a game was the 30 in 2007, scored by the Rangers over the Orioles.

Just catching up after running some errands. Duran should have been removed from the game immediately after that grand slam. Not for losing the ball; that can happen. Making absolutely no effort to go back and get it is inexcusable.

Fred Lynn and I went back and forth sometime last week about base running mistakes and benching. Most of them were because of being too aggressive. There is no excuse for laziness. Duran’s ass ought to be sent to Salem or Greenville.

I predicted at the outset of the season this would be a major clubhouse distraction. Some posters disagreed, refusing to believe that professionals would ever let unsettled contracts divert their efforts towards winning a piece of jewelry.

It appears JD and Bogey were only distracted when there were RISP.

I don't see how the SOX can't beat that.

It’s not just the baserunning. It’s a lot more than that. For example, Davis throwing away an easy out at 1B. It’s the total lazy lack of plate discipline. It’s Cora losing control of the team.

I'm guessing the Sox will have a position player pitching at some point, so 30 is looking likely.

54. It's tough to keep up.

54-6 in the last 3 games with divisional challenges on the line tells you a lot about this team. If you don't like getting beat, try playing better

Jeter Downs showing some true AA skills at 2nd.

Yeah, that was such an easy play.

There are a ton of plays to bitch about tonight. That was not one of them.

Cora has to bear the brunt for not having his team mentally prepared to play.

The players bear the brunt of that. A manager/coach can only do so much.

This team may just need a tough guy manager. Cora has shown he can manage, but his style doesn’t seem to fit with this bunch.

Shouldn't someone be calling in the National Guard?

The front office can't condone the optics. Imagine if armed guards stormed the diamond and forced anyone wearing red to leave the premises. Who knows their next move: clear out the bargain bins of below-replacement level ballplayers? How would Henry order his Chief Baseball Officer to fill up the MLB roster then?
