It’s called addition by subtraction. We don’t need to see more. They are hurting this team.

For instance…

JBJ

Brasier

Dalbec

Brazier is the whole list.

I guess he is on almost everyone’s list.

Also Downs has to go back to AAA, he is not ready.

The first 15 at bats weren’t impressive, and the next 500 can only get worse.

Downs is only up due to multiple injuries. Not sure why he is being so piled on…

That is true, but we know that he isn't going to contribute at all offensively. Are we that void of talent that there is no alternative?

He has shown some power.

He's on the 40 man roster. Sanchez, Fitzy and others are not. That's why he got the call.

Plus, let's find out something on him.

He’s like fifth on the depth chart. If he could hit to go with his glove, he would have been starting all year.

Right now he is a bench player and people want him to hit and field well. There is no such thing as a bench player who can both hit and field well. Because of you can do both those things, you’re a starter…

He's healthier than Arroyo.

His defense is better.

Arroyo hits way better, when available.

This is about utility roles, and you are right. Downs is not a full time starter, right now.

Last night, bottom of the 11th inning and Cora puts brazier out there? It may have turned out well, but Cora needs to be drug tested immediately!!!

Who would you have put in? Name names.

Schreiber, Whitlock and Houck had covered the previous 6 innings.

Be the manager, say what you would have done.

Diekman was available.

Oh wait. Did you want to hold onto the lead or not?

Brasier or Diekman - pick your poison, Alex!

Brasier has actually been pretty good since the beginning of June.

ERA 3.18, FIP 1.64

Opponents BA .219, OPS .535

WPA .698, RE24 (runs saved) 4.79

Larry’s mind is made up; no amount of actual data indicating how Brasier has been faring since his return from Worcester will change it.

Brasier not a great pitcher; no one would say that. As the #4-5 guy in the pen, he’s fine.

Despite everything, you and Bellhorn are selling me on Brasier. That’s impressive as my campaign against him spans several seasons…

Brasier is not the worst guy out there. He is you basic ham and egger. A plugger. There will be nights when he gets the job done , but don't count on him too much.

Having a guy like brazier on your roster is a sign that substandard is acceptable in your organization.

Our goal should get to upgrade the substandard immediately!

Diekman

Valdez

Brasier

Sawamura

Plawecki

Arroyo

Those are 6 easy cuts.

Unfortunately, they are going to play out the string it looks like. I'd give some more run to guys like Ort, Kelly and Bazardo. Need to see if there's anything there.

We might end up seeing a lot more of Wong, Bello, Crawford, Wink, Downs and maybe even German, RHern, DHern and others, if things keep going south.

If we sell off, I hope very much we'll see what we have just below.

Edit: Well, we will, no question about it.

He's especially fine for the mere $1.4M he's making.

Of course, the minute I defend one of our oft criticized players, he has a poor outing.

Aside from Arroyo I like this list.

They are bums.

Sawamura has a 2.55 ERA.

I must have missed a big change in Old School thinking or something.

yup, his BABIP is ridiculous. He's a time bomb abut to explode.

His BAbip is a full .023 from his career mark.

Explode?

Going from .238 to .261 is going to that bad?

Even if he goes to last year's .279, he won't look that awful.
