Amazing game and theft of home by Bogey--which won't be called a theft. Great job by the bullpen and not too shabby by Eovaldi in his first start in a month.

Well done, Sox, who bore little resemblance to the screw-ups who went to Tampa.

Dalbec has to make that play

deVAZtating. VAZ is one of the 4 everyday players I want the SOX to keep.

Dalbec gets a hit

Even a blind squirrel sometimes finds a nut

Great baserunning by Xander

Great base running by Xander!

Can’t believe Brasier actually closed that out

Oscars, were you at the game? Seems like one of those Oscars wins.

Ha!

I would have love to have been there !

A clutch wild pitch sealed the victory for the SOX. Hopefully, the SOX will see more wild pitches as the season progresses.

Bogaerts and Brasier get the game balls.

Which means he gives up a run every 2 innings and a hit a little less than 3 times in 10 at bats.

And keeping a runner from scoring from 2nd with no outs is a tall order for the best pitchers (easier if you’re facing this year’s Red Sox)

If I was MLB hitter I would like to face every night pitchers with that pedigree.

Michael Kay can't accept the fact that the Yankems aren't a .720 ball club.

Yanks have lost 5 out of their last 6, and all 5 have been in tragic fashion. I guess the silver lining is that they could have won every one of those games. The s*** lining is they found maddening ways to lose each one.

Yeah, it’s unbelievable. We needed that break badly!

Let’s see if that can turn the team around. We have a couple of pretty good pitchers starting the next couple of games. We need at least one of them.

Sure you would, but it still says you will fail more than 7 out of ten times and it still remains a fact that he allows a run every other inning on average. This was one of the other innings.

There are multiple ways to get to a 4.50 ERA. You can pitch an inning a night and give up a run every other one of them. You can pitch 10 innings over 10 games, giving up 5 runs in one of them and 0 in the other 9. And countless combinations in between.

Still that is a bum pedigree, no matter how you slice it.

i.e Brasier in a regular basis would have s*** the bed in those situations.

Twice Yanks had the winning run on third and less than two outs and they couldn’t get the job done. In the 11th, Yanks didn’t play for the one run to tie. Very uncharacteristic of this team

It’s not like the Red Sox didn’t have their chances to win either.

Imagine being King. You allow no hits, BBs of HBP- No runners at all, and you get the loss.

Let’s hope he’s spent. I don’t want to see him again tomorrow.

Those 4 GIDPs really yanked the Yanks.

They still left 10 men on base, despite the 4 DPs!

Good to see Bobby Dee make a significant contribution, but he's still firmly in my doghouse.

1B is still at the top of my deadline addition list, after 50 straight years with pitching being #1.

Devers current WAR is +4.2, which makes him the 3d best third baseman after Arenado (4.9) and Machado (4.3).

Bogaerts WAR is now +3.7, which is the best among MLB shortstops.

Pretty awesome left side IF!
