I’d give him some more time. He’s still young, and could get better. Boggs wasn’t that good when he came up, but he became a pretty good 3B.

You complained about me missing your sarcasm, but if you click the link it's pretty obvious how sarcastic my tone was.

Man, you and moon really are the same poster.

Spoken by the master, himself.

Sorry I missed it, but sometimes it’s hard to keep up, but Moon said you, and I are the same poster.

He's not a reliable narrator. That old man can't even math.

All you sarcastics are just bitter you're not sardonics.

Sardonics are apparently easier on the eyes.

I think we need to distinguish sarcasm from irony. The way I used to explain it to my students was: You ask me why you got a certain grade, and I respond: BECAUSE YOU'RE a F**KING IDIOT! If you got an F, that remark is sarcastic; if you got an A, it's ironic. (I'm not sure they completely got it, but at least it made an impression.)

That is not quite correct. You can be sarcastic without being ironic (as in the above example). Although it is true, on the internet, the two terms are used indiscriminately.

That's just what the Google machine spit out.

Ha! That's why my students were not allowed to cite "Google" or, their favorite "THE" dictionary.

(That said, I and every academic I know uses those resources and Wiki all the time! They just aren't definitive.)

OK. I've never seen that before: runner scoring from 2nd on a sac. fly. Go Sox.

I have, but I don't think I've ever seen two RBI on one out. Credit Devers for literally driving the centerfielder back to the wall, and then Duran for having both the wheels and the overdrive gear.

Rarest play I ever saw was two putouts at home plate.

This one is funnier. Like, who sent the second runner?

Here's a compilation:

The compilation only includes one other instance.
