You kill your argument by citing Shaughnessy. Go against anything that clown says and you’ll be right 99% of the time.

Edit - My apologies to clowns for the comparison to CHB.

I don’t know for sure if POP PEE took any enhancements, and NONE of you know for sure that he didn’t, but my opinion is he did, and thats what I’m sticking too. You can name call all you want, and say all that you want just like you do against Shaugnessy, but it has zero effect. The beloved POP PEE is not above any criticism, or suspicion.

And really what many are omitting is MLB was testing for performance-enhancing drugs, but the testing also included checks for substances that were not banned by MLB. Even if Ortiz actually did test positive, it’s very possible that what he tested positive for was perfectly legal.

You can’t cheat if you’re not breaking the rules…

The bottom line is you don’t know for sure either way.

Accusations are just that accusations. One can accuse anyone of anything but without proof and due process, accusations are meaningless. Everyone has the presumption of innocence until proven otherwise through a fair hearing with due process. Since none of that happened in Ortiz's case then the accusations against him can rightly be dismissed as slander.

Call it anything you want it’s just an opinion on BOTH sides. To say it wasn’t proven POP PEE took any special vitamins is true, and would hold up in a court of law, but this is in the court of public opinion, and my opinion is different from yours, and it may never be proven who’s opinion is right, and until that happens my opinion will never change.

You are entitled to your own opinion but not your your own facts. The facts are that there is no proof that Ortiz took anything prohibited by MLB rules to say otherwise publicly could be deemed both libelous and slander.

It just says a lot about how much your opinion should matter going forward.

And neither do you, but you're certain he did something really bad.

The point is there are NO facts.

He just stated facts. What are you talking about?

Did they say what he tested positive for? No they didn’t, so, because they didn’t you hang your hat on that. Good for you.

You're melting down, bro.

You're melting down, bro.

You guys are melting down, because you don’t like opinions that are different from yours. In your eyes POP PEE couldn’t possibly be like so many others at the time was on roids, and setting HR records in the process. Reminds me of little kids can’t believe the possibility that there is no Santa Claus. Hilarious. All over an opinion.

My feeling is that the use of steroids was rampant in sports at the time. We have no idea how many athletes used . It should be totally disregarded as a factor in selection to the Hall.

You are condemning someone for alleging testing positive for an unknown substance. Talk about the absence of proof. Why not just admit you just do not like Ortiz regardless.

There are plenty of facts; there just aren’t any to support your viewpoint…

When not talking about closers, clutch and Dombrowski, you present many viewpoints I agree with…

Who said it was an unknown substance? The just didn’t say what it was. As for Ortiz you are jumping to conclusions that I don’t like him. Just because I don’t like what I suspect that he did does not mean I don’t like him. I would say the same thing if it was Brady, Orr, Bird, Bill Russell, Yaz, or Joe s*** The Rag Man. Regardless.

Oh, you actually like the guy you keep calling POP PEE?

Is that like an elementary school boy teasing the girl he likes on the playground?

I’m just doing that for your eyes on here just to see the reaction. Do you think it worked? Hilarious. Once again just for a different opinion.

The reaction is that it makes you look like a dumbass. It doesn't bother me at all. I've seen all sorts of tired nicknames like that ever since I joined here.

Now the name calling. Standard procedure on here, and if my opinion doesn’t bother so much why keep commenting. Either way it doesn’t change my opinion, or anything else.

You do not know the alleged substance yet you readily condemn someone without proof.

There are plenty of facts

Here, I'll list the important facts for you:

David Ortiz just tied Babe Ruth, as a Hall of Famer who won three World Series rings for Boston.

They're now tied as the second-best Red Sox winners of all-time... to the immortal Harry Hoopaaaaahhh (four rings)!!!!
