Number of pitches: 5-10-22-18.

He might not be available, but this is crunch time.

With an off-day tomorrow, he will be ready for Tuesday..

If the SOX don't win the WS, I just hope it isn't a team from Florida or Texas. Much as I dislike the Yankems, I dislike those two states worse.

I lived in both those states and don’t like them either, but I think both those teams are pretty good.

What a game!

What a season!

What a memorable team!

Now, beat the f***ing Yanks!

Screw the trends. This is one game.

Beautiful man!!!!!! Can’t believe it. What a season. Highs and lows but it’s been amazing

While we were moaning about the lack of fundamentals, Yanks win on a walk-off in part because the Rays' catcher seemed not to know that he had a force at home, stood off the bag and tried to make a tag.

(And SplSpl, I'm with you 100% on FL and TX.)

Can you believe we are sitting here in October wondering if Brasier and Robles will be rested enough to get us some high leverage outs on Tuesday?

Time machine set for 1978 with, hopefully, a better ending.

It’s good to have Whitlock back too

Now that we've lost confidence in G.Richards, I wonder if Pivetta can fill that role as a dominant one inning reliever. I'm assuming he isn't going to be in the playoff rotation. . . .

Playoff rotation: Eavoldi, Sale, E-Rod, Houck.

Yeah, Pivetta goes to the bullpen.

Whitlock will be the main closer.

Robles & Brasier the main set up men.

Ottavino and Pivetta the 6th and 7th inning guys.

Just my opinion.

Just got back from golfing (left in the 5th inning). Watched rest of game on DVR then read the comments. Wow! LOL! Lots of frustration, hate and anger......then joy, happiness and kindness. Let's go Sox. It has been a great season and it can be even greater with a win on Tuesday. I have a good feeling about that game.

The lineup for Tuesday (against Cole) if JD can't go:

Hernandez CF

Schwarber DH

Bogaerts SS

Devers 3b

Renfroe RF

Verdugo LF

Dalbec 1b

Arroyo 2b

Vazquez C

If JD can play, I guess you move Schwarber to 1b, JD to DH, and Dalbec to the bench.

We used to be the comeback kids, so it was nice to see a bit of a flashback.

Looks good to me, but do we know for sure that Pivetta would come out of the rotation?
