Is Verdugo a lot better than Benny ? I just don’t see it .Should Chaim upgrade Verdugo ? He may

Get rid of Duggy already? He didn’t have as good a season last year as he did the year before, but he is never going to be as good as Mookie. As you saying Bloom didn’t do a good job in what he got back for Mookie? I have always thought he should have gotten some pitching back in the deal.

He did at one point…

Don't worry, the morning spring training starts, we'll wake up to find Chaim has signed a mediocre right-handed reliever to go with the two left-handed relievers he recently signed, and those 3 moves will be it for this thrilling post-CBA agreement transaction frenzy...

I may not be being fair with him .Verdugo was banged up last year again .

What he almost got has pitched the last two years for the Dodgers, and nothing to brag about.

To be fair to Bloom, it’s easier to get Friedman to trade his own children than to get him to trade young pitching.

Probably because his children flat out suck at pitching…

I believe there is a method to his passiveness, Hang’em Chaim will come through!

Trust the process.

Heyman reporting on MLB channel the Red Sox are in on Freeman. If there was ever a free agent Passive Chaim would pass on, it'd be a $200 million dollar first baseman, especially when he's got a $700,000 one and another waiting to debut. Sure, Casas could fetch some decent pitching in trades... but so could $200 M spread around to several good pitchers. Amirite?

Sox are in for short term only at a massive AAV. Freeman would be better off maximizing total comp over AAV at this point in his career
I don’t think one year would get it done. Although he could have a monster season in that lineup and ballpark and get a mega deal afterwards.

He seems to be at the age where one seeks the max overall deal.

Plus, it's not like he's coming off a so-so season; he hit for a better BA and OPS than his career numbers.

Career: .295/.384/.509/.893

2021: .300/.393/.503/.896 (Although his OPS+ of 133 was below his career 138.)

Should have resigned Iggy.

$5M seemed like a lot, but I agree.

There are other Iggy-like SSs out there, and some are not in decline.

We already have Bradley on the roster, how many truly bad bats is Hang’em Chaim allowed on a roster!

2019-2021 OPS

.747 Arroyo

.743 Iggy

.741 Vaz

.665 JBJ

At 33, you don’t bet on yourself. You take as much guaranteed cash as possible. Father Time is undefeated

Honestly, I would have sworn the Sox would have added a more sturdy starter than Wacha and Hill to replace ERod

They must be banking on Sale to eat most of ERod's innings, but yes, my hope was, and still is, getting a better SP'er.

Maybe the plan is Whitlock and then to cobbled together a decent pen.

Rizzo to Yanks :::::Heyman thinks we are in Balls deep on Freeman ? This would actually explain some earlier Trades by Oakland ? Do we have a deal in place for Sean Murphy ? Casas ? Or Bobby and more ? Is Verdugo on the move ?...Chaim let’s gooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopes up like a Tesla Fire .

The last time Heyman was right about anything was around the time the first dinosaur eggs were hatching…
