@PeteAbe

RHP John Schreiber, who was DFA'd Tuesday, was outrighted to the Alternate Training Site.

Sounds like being sent to the Gulag LOL

Love it.

Worcester is enjoying a revival. I presume Worcester is the alternate site.Great restaurant scene. However, I am told until 80 per cent of tier 1 players are vaccinated they are prohibited from eating in at a restaurant.

They can’t go to the Boynton?!?!

As nearly everyone knows, I'm a huge Cora fan, and I know managers say things just to boost the confidence of their players, but no way is Kike one of the "best defensive 2Bmen" in MLB. (And, that's not based on one mishap in one game.)

I'm glad he's in CF, today, where he belongs.

That being said, Marwin is no defensive gem at 2B, either, and neither is Arroyo. Flexibility is all well and good, but it does help to be at least decent at a few of the positions you play.

Only Dalbec at 1B and Verdugo in RF seem like plusses on defense. Some will argue Vazquez at catcher, but I'm not gonna start that debate up again.

EHern has plus numbers in CF in a scattered sample size over many years. Maybe he can do it for a full season, but he likely won't play CF in even 80 games.

Cordero has the tools, and Renfroe should be fine for LF, so maybe we can salvage a plus in LF, but there's too much speculation there to check that box, right now.

We have to win games with out offense and a near totally healthy pitching staff. That's our best chance.

But it's sad for us in Rhode Island - no professional baseball here any longer.

You still have hot weiners and party pizza though.

I always wondered why Hartford wasn't the choice for a Sox AAA team. I know it is also Yankee turf, but maybe we could win over more CT fans.

We've known about this for a while now. He's pitching a simulated game today. If it goes well, he'll start next week.

Cora said his velocity was down today, not due to injury. It might be a little longer before we see him start.

We’ll see. He could probably still pitch effectively if his velo is down. Just depends on the injury risk.

This year is going to blow, it shouldn't surprise anyone. What we need to happen is just two of these current players to be impact players and then keep them along with X and Devers. Then with the money next year we start looking at stars and high profile contract players. I think next year our team that hits the field will be super good.

Pitching....... I'm not so sure. That would be the toughest part. I'll ask the magic eight ball..............

When the rosy red glasses were on people here, I told you all that ERod is going to be susceptible to endurance issues. ERod didn’t have a surgery with a rehab plan. He had a heart infection that left him bed bound for 6 months. There’s no precedent here. I’m not surprised his arm is barking a bit. His lower half isn’t built up like it used to be. His core isn’t built up like it used to be.

Ah, nostalgia... the good 'ole days. Like when the Yankees were the favorites every single year, and actually finished first and won the World Series. Of course, back then they always had a catcher who could catch and a shortstop who could field.

Speculation is to let Houck have another turn since he pitched so well yesterday. This will also give ERod more time to make sure that there won't be any setbacks. Makes sense.

It's not like ERod is the only pitcher who has ever suffered from a tired arm.

For some reason, I really like this post.

Jax is all excited because Kluber made it through 4 innings yesterday.

We are 1-0 in his starts. We beat a projected playoff team. Pretty sure the Orioles are gonna finish last this year, that is unless the Sox finish behind them
