Unsung hero of yesterday is Jonny Lasagna. That guy is a beast as a reliever.

Up 0-2 and you throw a FB down the middle. His stuff looks good, but his mental side is not a strong suit

German’s issue is too many strikes. He’s got insane stuff, but you cannot be up 0-2, 1-2 and giving great pitches to hit.

Watching German is so damn frustrating. Amazing stuff. Great control, terrible command. When he’s up in the count, he either throws meatballs or non competitive pitches. He doesn’t seem to know how to throw a ball just off the zone

Well, German had good stuff, just horrible execution in the zone. King’s stuff was pretty similar and after his first two batters, he kept to the edges and breezes through the lineup. Our offense had two hard hit balls it seemed and both were outs (lead off the game). We didn’t work counts, take walks or center anything. Very lax offensive approach. Thus far, our staff has been spectacular. The hitting needs to heat up
