Funnily enough they lead the AL with the lowest team ERA. Don't think that'll last though.

Since the trade deadline, the Yankees lead the AL in team ERA with 3.65. Interestingly enough, the 'don't have enough pitching' Jays are right behind you at 3.66. The Red Sox are second to last with an ERA of 4.80. At least we are beating the Orioles by over 2 points in ERA. LOL

The Yankees dominance over the Twins is one of the weirdest things. When the Twins were up 5-0, it was like the Twins couldn't score again, they needed to keep the Yankees in the game to give them an opportunity for a late inning comeback, which of course happened with Judge's HR. After Judge's HR, it was over; a Yankees-Twins tie-game going into extra innings can only have one outcome 100% of the time!

Yanks were lucky to win the series. Their offense is punchless when it counts, as evidenced by 13 baserunners but only 2 runs, as well as getting shutout the final 8 innings of the game by a bunch of scrubs. The Blue Jays scored like 40 runs against these guys just last week.

It is actually kind of surprising the Yankees traded G.Otto in that he could help the team this season from the bullpen. It would have made more sense for the Yankees to keep Otto and include a younger high upside pitcher who isn't ready for the big leagues.

Then again, maybe the Rangers really liked Otto and demanded his inclusion. Who knows. I thought the decision to use Green yesterday was "interesting" and somewhat surprising.

Lol, he and his near 10ERA says otherwise

Thing I hate about Boone and love about Cora.

Down the stretch, Cora is managing like a guy who will do anything to get into the playoffs. Boone is managing like a guy who has already locked up a playoff spot.

I didn't see the game, but Sticky Fingers was booed by the Yankees faithful today as he walked off the mound:

The Yankees couldn’t even count on Gerrit Cole to keep them in a game they sorely needed to win, and the antsy Bronx fans let him and this flailing team know about it.

The $324 million pinstriped ace heard boos while exiting the Stadium mound Sunday after getting pelted for a season-high tying seven earned runs, as the Guardians blasted the sloppy Yankees for a second consecutive day, 11-1, at the Stadium.

There is a real chance the Yanks finish with the 8th best record in the AL. 7 teams better and 7 teams worse.

The Yanks play the toughest schedule to end the season: 3 v TBR, 3 v TOR and 3 v BOS (3 v TEX).

6. 83-67 NYY

7. 82-67 OAK

8. 80-69 SEA

Now they’re in the s*** here. Offense goes silent. Ace stumbles and hasn’t looked good since his hamstring tightened up. They need to gain a game during the three gamer with Texas and then win the Sox series to tie with them. The Toronto series will be a bear, but the TB series should be cake as they’ll already have clinched.

That being said, don’t think this team is capable of rising to the occasion. They sink every chance they get

You have to put the blame on Cashman. He has had total free rein with this team a long time now. And of course Boone is his guy.

You aren't wrong. From making this an all or nothing team to continually seeking out player types that break down, he has not put together championship level teams. They always have a fatal flaw that gets exploited and ends their year. Last year it was being too RHed in the lineup. TB threw all 97mph+ RHP and shut down the Yanks in their final game last year. I do legitimately think the Yanks got robbed in 17 and 19 when they lost to the cheating Astros and their garbage can, buzzer BS. 18 they lost to a superior team. 20 was supposed to be a banner year, but we relied to heavily on some of our younger talent and it showed. Sanchez and Torres went into the shitter, Hicks couldnt stay healthy, and the pitching was abhorrent outside for Cole, but they still managed to take the AL champs to 5 games and lost with their closer on the hill. But the flaw was being too RHH heavy and it was exploited in a must win scenario. This year, there is just something missing. The lineup should be crushing teams. Even with Torres being bad this year and Lemahieu having an off year, I would expect that the core of the lineup could mash their way to a top 5 offensive finish, but they just can't. They hit way to many solo homers and K way too much with guys on base. They have zero idea how to run the bases and no idea how to hit to situations.

I do not know if Cashman goes, if he does, so be it. But I doubt it would surprise anyone if the Yanks got a new managerial team and they absolutely destroyed the AL next year like they were supposed to this year.

Crunch time shows you the teams who rise and those who lie down. This dog don’t hunt. Put it down

I thought it was the Red Sox doggie that didn't hunt?

Your entire analysis of your team was erudite until this fallback excuse. Any intelligent Yankee fan has seen enough of the articles (there was one just the other day) of the MLB's unreleased reports of New York's complicity -- right there along with Houston, Boston, LA and all the teams that lost -- in the sign-stealing culture. Maybe Marwin Gonzalez was a fraud leading '17 Houston in RBIs, but isn't about time to admit that guys like Correa 6.7 WAR and Altuve 28 HRS this year are just superior big leaguers?
