Beni looked really good with that last At bat. The pitch was up and he went and got it.. slapped it to right field. My question is simply this.... why did it take this long for him to work with the coaches in order to figure this out. It’s inexcusable.

Has anyone else noticed that watching a baseball game is becoming more and more a bunch of commercials strung together by baseball? It's now come to the point where commercials are overlapping the game and we're sometimes seeing the first pitch of an inning (or after a timeout) on replay. Ugh

 

On the radio broadcast, it's like wall-to-wall ads. "This trip to the mound (by the catcher) is brought to you by Vinny's Pizza..." "The nest pitch is the 44th of the game... Jim's Oyster Bar will pay blah blah if... "

 

And then the 2-3 minutes in between innings which long time ago was 1 minute. long games you say

I have to double-check but I think Sale doesn't have a lot of innings this season.

Guy is a winner and Cora respected his hierarchy.

The talent is there.. I dunno. It simply may be something that was discussed within the confines of the team. Although Beni didn’t look hurt to me. If he was hurting for so long then why would they trot him out there for the duration?

Hopefully these guys understand what is at stake at this point. August is around the corner.

Two mistakes; he walked a .176 batter right before the dinger. To make it worse that walked batter is 0-17 against Sale.
