This Rays' pitcher is one of the few good ones. 3.29ERA and a 1.02 WHIP. I'm hoping all this praise will jinx him.

You have to beat good pitching if you wanna be a playoff team.

Chris Sale will not be a starter by this time next year

??????????????????

Sincerely hope this is a f***ing joke post. I have trouble understanding sarcasm on the internet but this has to be it.

With so few good starters, if a team just beats most of the bad ones, they'll win 100+ games.

Is it just me or Chris Sale has a lot of 2 strikes and 2 outs in the count before he's pounded this season. Geez, I have a lot of flash backs of these which could have ended in nice innings.

..and counting. Look at this AB vs Heredia. Guy was dominated and way down in the count and he ended up walking. Unbelievable!

Relax it's tongue and cheek

You never know what the internet these days. Lol. People have strange opinions sometimes.

Take me for example. I quite enjoy Van Damme movies. Nobody likes that s***. I do though!

Nobody likes it? I disagree with 'nobody.'

Two outs and a runner on 3rd and OB is telling us that a "stirke out would be key". Actually any old out will do with two outs. He is so strike out happy.

As for Sale, he really is going through the mid-life pitcher transition IMO. I would like to see him cut back just a bit on the FB vilo and earn himself some cheaper outs. Get more called strikes and swing and miss. He is not a nibbler but so much of his past success has come on getting hitters to chase and he is just not getting enough of those 95-96-97 FB's within range of even these swing happy hitters offering at them. Plus the command on his secondary pitches tends to go to hell because he is often overthrowing to get to 96-97. Its driving his pitch counts even higher than we are used to seeing and he does not appear to have the stamina he had when he was younger either. IMO he has to learn how to get some easier outs than what he tends to get so he does not get so worn down.

... and just like that Chirinos looks like an ace. The BABIP phantom is all over the place for the Red Sox. We are making contact and ball simply doesn't end up in the turf or the fence.

Chirinos isn't that far from being an ACE, at which time Tampa will trade him.
