The Red Sox won yesterday, and in the words of "Slammin" Sammy Sosa.. "We have to keep it continue!"

Will Andrew B continue his heroics at the plate for two straight games???

Will the BP shut the door if & when given the chance??

Well you are not going to find out by not watching... so wait, watch, and see!

GO SOX!

Pretty good OP by Yaz. Beni hitting isn't as big a deal as being sure several are hitting. Fair question about the bullpen.

And I do plan to watch. Last night, for the first time in human history, a game played in the Trop was shown on espn, so I got to watch that instead of online. I did get the distinct impressions--without ever turning on the sound--that the announcers were far more interested in the Rays than the Sox.

Sale against Chironos (ERA 3.29), who, however, has been less good in July (ERA 4.26). He's a righty, so a good time to get Moreland back into the lineup, but not good that Hernandez is headed back to Pawtucket. Chavis stays largely because he is a righty bat, which Holt and Moreland and Hernandez are not--or so I think. Plus the dingers of course. I'm guessing Leon is behind the plate, but less sure who will DH, Vazquez or JDM. If the former, I guess JDM goes to RF, Betts to CF, and JBJ sits.

So Cash has an actual starting pitcher going tonight in Chirinos which makes the clown show, three ring circus he was running last night even more of a mystery at least to me.

1. Mookie Betts ® RF

2. Rafael Devers (L) 3B

3. Xander Bogaerts ® SS

4. J.D. Martinez ® DH

5. Andrew Benintendi (L) LF

6. Brock Holt (L) 2B

7. Mitch Moreland (L) 1B

8. Jackie Bradley Jr. (L) CF

9. Sandy Leon (S) C

1. Travis d'Arnaud ® 1B

2. Tommy Pham ® LF

3. Austin Meadows (L) DH

4. Avisail Garcia ® RF

5. Matt Duffy ® 3B

6. Michael Brosseau ® 2B

7. Guillermo Heredia ® CF

8. Willy Adames ® SS

9. Mike Zunino ® C

Not real sure about this. I saw video of Mitch the other day. His swing looked terrible (to be expected at this point). But he did not look great either. Looked to me like he had put on some tonnage while convalescing.

If he is walkin' the way he was walkin' in the video I saw, he looks a bit too much like Duncan the Geico Walrus Goalie.

Key for Beni will be if he can stay upright like he is now in the batters box and not lengthen that stride of his. He has been upright like this before and eventually that stride gets bigger and bigger and that is when he really digs a hole for himself.

Of course everybody telling him how "pretty" that stupid long stride looks probably does not help him any.

Maybe Beni has been reading our posts to trade him.

I wouldn't be surprised actually. Either way.. he needed a good kick in the behind to wake up. Still think he needs to be moved out of Boston.

Still in contention so i don’t think they will trade him but who knows.
