Notice that throwing 96-97 at the belt line or lower and/or low right in the fat part of the plate is doing nothing for Sale either. That is called "wild in the strike zone". I don't care what your name is or how hard your throw, leave those there and they will not get by ML hitters...they just won't.

Other than his last start we will take it. He has not been good the last stretch. 2 runs through 5 is very decent. He started off well. Ran into trouble in the 3rd and after though. Besides Eovaldi needs work lol.

Sale is wild in the zone. And while he has been good today with 9K in 5IP and only 2 runs, he is not generating the swings and misses he used to.

Eh, when you're facing Chirinos, you gotta hunt something. He doesn't walk you. You are gonna need to hit him. And with the Rays pen, it makes little sense to get him out of the game and get a better pitcher in there

Another meaningless hit for JD that helps for his numbers but close to nothing to the team. This year he is not the clutch hitter he used to be in 2018. Hopefully he explodes soon.

He’s a competitor and wants to play. Sometimes you just have to trust your player. But I know what you’re saying. I think Sale will do good here.

Beni looked really good with that last At bat. The pitch was up and he went and got it.. slapped it to right field. My question is simply this.... why did it take this long for him to work with the coaches in order to figure this out. It’s inexcusable.

Has anyone else noticed that watching a baseball game is becoming more and more a bunch of commercials strung together by baseball? It's now come to the point where commercials are overlapping the game and we're sometimes seeing the first pitch of an inning (or after a timeout) on replay. Ugh
