How is that negative? I just said it will be hard against the Astros seeing how they just swept the really good Guardians. I didn’t say that they couldn’t do it in anyway did I? No I didn’t. As for the post of is it “Over”, it was a question. Right now if you read the whole post I said I’ll be really happy to be wrong and right now so far I’m happy to be wrong because it’s seven nothing Sox!!!

Read all my posts then make your conclusion. It’s supposed to be all in fun for a Red Sox fan to talk to another Red Sox fan. I can handle criticism no problem. Like every fan you get caught up in your emotions of wanting them to win so bad that you over critique the team. I posted earlier that Severino can be shaky and it would be great if we could get both in New York. So far so good we’re up 10-0!!!

I say, cut the negativity folks. We have a very good team this year. I still believe we win the WS. Let’s go Red Sox!

It's one thing to get down after a loss, but saying it's over for a 108 team that is tied 1-1 in a 5 game series is beyond redemption.

I know we all get frustrated at times, but I keep being amazed, and maybe I shouldn't by now, at how quickly people jump ship.

It didn't take an optimist, and that's what people were calling me, to know we were far from "out of it."

It wasn’t a dump it was an honest “opinion”. If you read it all the way through I said “I really hope I’m wrong”. Plus I’ve been posting on this board for awhile. An I agree with the post below we do have a good team and enough negativity, absolutely including me! We came out like thumpers tonight and I expect nothing different tomorrow.

Holy crap Holt hit for the cycle!!! I was thinking Kinsler should of been in at second but was I wrong. Heck I was wrong in a couple ways and happy to say it! I knew Severino could be shaky and was he and we jumped all over him. Yankee stadium almost empty in a playoff game priceless!

LOL!

I think some guys here need to drink some tequila to cut the negativity hahaha

Wishing and believing are two different things.

Totally losing faith in a 108 team that is tied 1-1 in a series is not believing in your team.

Don't be counting chickens yet, great win, but teams can lose their focus, after a blowout, and think its a piece of cake. Mr. Cora, really got to Manage now. And flip the Sox, into a team that ends it. He and this team can do it. You think the Yanks are going to go down easy, at home, your crazy. But, if you end it there, it sends a message to everyone. This team is for real. Edited by OH FOY!

No. This series is not over, for sure, but I believe.

I believe!

It would be very nice if we could get it done tonight so we can reset the pitching for the Astros.

Last night was amazing. I did not see that performance coming. The line up changes were rightly being called for and paid off big time.

WE know the series is not over. But it certainly was not over after the Sox lost 1 game, too...

I'm counting on Porcello to rise to the occasion and allow us to use Sale in game 1 vs Houston.

Porcello has made 4 starts against the Yankees this year.

One was a 2 IP, 0ER outing at the end of the season that is worth ignoring.

He did get pasted onece for 5 ER in 5.1 IP. That was his only real start i Yankee Stadium.

his other 2 starts at Fenway were spectacular outings - 16 IP, 1ER - including a complete game one hitter. If he pitches like that, the crowd might be out of the game quickly...

That's nice to hear, but I don't really pay much attention to small recent sample sizes.

I do believe in the "hot hand theory," but things can turn on a dime.

For example, last night's game does not change how I feel about our chances tonight at all. I do feel better that it is not a must win game, but scoring 16 and allowing 1 run doesn't mean squat tonight..

Hope they end this tonight. Should be a lot of urgency to end it.

It would certainly set us up nicely for the ALCS.

SAT gm 1 Sale @ Fenway (+3 days rest)

SUN gm 2 Eovaldi @ Fenway (+1 day of rest- perfect for him)

off

TUE gm 3 Porcello @ HOU (+2 days rest)

WED gm 4 Price/ERod/Wright @ HOU

THU gm 5 Sale @ HOU

off

SAT gm 6 Eovaldi @ Fenway +1 days rest-perfect for him

SUN gm 7 Porcello @ Fenway

I don't believe Wright can come back in the ALCS.

If a player is moved to the disabled list or another inactive transaction during a series, he then becomes ineligible to be returned to the 25-man active roster for the remainder of the series as well as the next series if applicable.

Exactly right, especially your last sentence. I was dead wrong in my pessimism after the first two games, but still cling to this part of it: don't underestimate the Yankees based on last night's game. They still have great hitting and one of the best bullpens around. Our two wins were both led by great starting pitching against a very hot Yankees lineup.

Evoldi starting game 4, Yes it is over!

Win 108 games and your 31 million dollar man gives it up "again" in the playoffs. To top it all off you run out a stiff who the Yanks and Dodgers and a very good pitching organization in TB let go. Mind boggling and mis-management at its highest level.

I'll quote the greatest Manager in Sox history Terry Francona, "good luck with that"!

You're a regular Nostradumbass, aren't you.

Was Wright disabled during the ALDS? That does appear to be an important word there.

I think that rule was put in place to prevent/penalize teams from "disabling" ineffective pitchers mid-series in order to bolster their bullpen depth. But if the pitcher was injured before the series and left off the roster, that seem entirely different to me...

I think that's a stretch. If he was taken off the roster during the series, it doesn't matter when the injury occurred.

Note that the idiot didn't even get it right about which game Eovaldi was starting.
