The Yankees seem to always be in on every free agent. Especially following a disappointing loss. Many of their fans have come to expect it. I don't think they worry about the " cliff " as much as Sox fans do.

No - that expression does not imply the impending sense of doom and gloom that "the cliff" does. It is all over. Maybe ok through next year right but when world is apt to come to a full stop for our beloved franchise in 2020. We just will not have enough loot to continue to compete at a high level. lol
