Why are you the one who always bring up the "h" word ? Relationship.issues?

Nope. False assumptions, again?

I brought it up once before and apologized. It didn't matter. I'm cautioning others not to do the same.

Not projection. Not out of some sore of "relationship issue." Just friendly advice.

Keep it going, if you wish. Stir the pot and run.

He thinks anyone who says they wouldn’t have hired Cora back, because of his cheating scandal then that means in his mind that they hate Cora. Amazing that it couldn’t be for any other reason, and has been status quo now for at least two years running. It’s not a gift, but a curse.🙈

Right He did such a great job in 2019. He is a cheater and should not be managing any team.

I am not on either side for or against Cora but your reasons are ridiculous. Just go away.

Amen to that

Besides the cheating Cora is not a very good manager. I was at Spring Training in 2019

It was obvious then he never properly had his team ready for the season.

Jump ahead to this past year

It was obvious coming out of ST that he had a s***** defense up the middle but he kept playing sub par defensive players like Kike

The excuse was it was all Bloom's fault is laughable. Cora did not have his team drilled in fundamentals

It was 2019 all over again.

Then there his mismanagement of the pitching staff. It was obvious in May that they way he used the bull pen he was going to burn out his relievers which he has. The Bloom defense for Cora's incompetence only goes so far. One World Series win buys a lot of excuses buy that two years should demonstrate that Cora is way over rated as manager especially here.

I said I was sorry for saying you hated Core. Why you keep acting like I never admitted my mistake says more about you than me.

I've yet to hear one tiny apology for all the times you misquoted me and twisted my views, sometime to the exact opposite of what it was/is. Talk about a "curse." We all have seen sore losers, but you win a point and stay sore for years.

I do not think anyone who would not have hired Cora, hates him. I don't think anyone who wants him fired, now, hates him, but it apparently makes you feel good or whatever it is that floats your boat on things like this to think I do.

Wanting Cora gone can be for many reasons having nothing to do with hate. I'm not sure what more a guy can do to get you to stop lying by saying "he thinks," as in still does.

I'll settle for just stopping the lies. I'll never see an apology and never have. One time, you came close by admitting you misquoted me, but no apology, despite repeating the lie several times, after I showed you my exact quote several time. You double and tripled down, like you always do.

Nope

You.may disagree but Cora is responsible for the worst defensive team in baseball. A team that made more mental misplays than any I have seen in the past 50 plus years of watching baseball.

Bloom may have some responsibility but Cora as manager must take ownership for his role. I said back in April that this team would be bad defensively. Just like in 2019, Cora did not prepare his team properly for the season. It was obvious to anyone who attended Spring Training what the season was going to be like.

What parson alive can teach a 20 or 30 something player to play good defense in a few short months?

I do think Cora and Bloom share in some of the blame, but it's time the players start taking "ownership."

I agree. DFA Raffy. They can finish with a losing record in last place with him, or without him.🤭

A managers job is too add value to their team. Cora's team was less than the sum of its parts. That's on Cora.

To say it is impossible to train a 20 something good defense in few short months has never been through basic training. It is done all the time. Hooah!!!!

I did not say a manager cannot improve a player's defense. I even said he shares in the blame. The roster was ridiculed from day one, then injuries and declines from some vets occurred, yet somehow, Cora is to blame.

Listening to you guys, all year, the sum of the parts sucked, and Cora nearly got us to .500.

Most people here appreciated the job Cora did this season with what he was given to work with, because very few of us ever thought mediocrity playing out of position to back a mound crew of injured, has-beens or never-has-beens would contend.

The magic show he performed with openers when the Sox had the best record in baseball for a month literally kept them from flopping into the depths of other last place teams.

In hindsight, AC blew it; it's his fault the Sox won't get a top-5 or 6 draft pick next summer...

Like Sam Kennedy said at the year end press conference last year after a losing last place in the Div team, and out of the postseason that all of baseball ops failed including him. Now it has happened for two years in a row, and all of baseball ops failed again. Clean house, and get an all new house, and the owner too if that’s what it takes. I’ve already heard be careful what you wish for with the owner, but like I answered to that was that the Red Sox did not win in 1967, 1975, 1978, or 1986, because of who the owner was.🙈

I predicted that in April. A real manager would have done better. Cora proved he only wins by cheating.

He cheated in 2018 ans 2021?

Once a cheater always a cheater. Everything they do is now suspect.

Patently untrue. “Once a cheater, always suspected as a cheater”is more true. You cannot tell me no one ever has cheated only once.

And in Cora’s case, it was clearly a group effort. When he was without his old group, things could certainly be different…

Posted
Suspect is different from stating he still cheats.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Cora no longer qualifies for the presumption he is not cheating.

I do not believe a word that comes out of his mouth. He has proven he is not to be trusted. You can believe him and defend him until the cows come home but he never should have been rehired. The Sox will never be successful again as long as he is in the dugout. That is my position

Cora cheated

Whether group or individual effort is meaningless. He cheated. That is fact. He should have been banned for life.

Baseball doesn’t ban cheaters for life. Just gamblers.

Gaylord Perry cheated, too, and he was not only not banned, he was enshrined…

I'm not presumming anything. You did, when you said he was cheating, then back-peddled to "suspect," and now are swinging back to assuming he still is.

Cora's team broke secret codes? From other teams giving secret codes to deceive opponents? OMG!!!!!!!!!!

How can we ever trust any of them ever again?

Why, just yesterday a poster on another thread typed, "It is extremely rare for any Major League manager to give a completely honest appraisal..."

If the morality police take over, there may not be anybody left to play or manage.

The combination of Old Red and Elktonnick is just what I needed to lose the few strands of hair I had left in my forehead.

Good thing I have none to lose!

Seems to me the obsession with cheating is something normally seen only in a select group of sports fans, who don't get out much, or 10-year-olds generally.

It's a nice catchy phrase, but I find it to not be 100% true, people do change.
