Pomeranz 9-4 / 3.75

Sanchez 1-2/ 3.94

Sanchez has been tough against the Sox at Fenway. It's time for the bats to wake up and show this guy who's boss.

WIN!!!

Need Pomeranz to be solid tonight.

But a giant caveat to the above: the Sox are now 48-10 in games in which they score 4 or more runs, which means they are 5-32 in games when they score fewer than 4 runs.

Happ last night is a lefty, tonight it's righty Sanchez, but I see a similar lineup tonight but with Moreland back at 1B and HanRam back at DH and probably Vazquez catching because Leon caught 11 innings last night:

Betts

Benintendi

Pedroia

Bradley

Ramirez

Moreland

Vazquez

Holt

Marrero

I moved JBJ way up to 4th to allow Farrell to alternate righties and lefties, plus Kimmi says 4th and 5th slots are both important.

.

Well, we're also 11-13 when scoring 3-4 runs. (13-37 when scoring 4 or less and 22-41 when scoring 5 or less.

What's killed us is we've scored 0-2 runs 26 times this year. Not surprisingly, we are 2-24 in those games.) That's on pace for something like 4-47. Last year we were 5-33 in games scoring 0-2 runs.

We were 4-13 in games scoring 3 runs last year and 6-8 in 4-run games. This year we are 3-8 in 3-run games which is a better record than last year, and we have a winning record in 4 run games (8-5), which is way better than last year. A sign that our pitching is helping us win these "tweener" games.

Is tonight the night we can score more than 3 runs without having to go to extra innings? Tune in to find out folks :)

At the game tonight. Hopefully YOTN at the game mojo works better than last time.

Have fun at the game! The Jays don't stand a chance!

Clearly Farrell and I don't quite agree, according to this official lineup

Betts

Benintendi

Pedroia

Moreland

Young

Bradley

Vazquez

Holt

Marrero

We agree on 8 of the bats but not on the order. I'm assuming Young got the nod over HanRam because he played 15 innings last night--so hard to quarrel with that.

Nice baserunning! (Is there a Dale Berra Baserunning Award?) Edited by jad

When Smoak took the ball to the bag, Young was going to get back to 3rd easily. Wth was Bradley doing chugging into 3rd. Butterball should have been screaming and waving him back. Both runners could have retreated quite easily. Another stupid running play giving away outs. That is on the coaching staff. He has to yell at him to get back. Butterworrh wasn't even looking at him.

I am bringing at the game mojo tonight. Go Red Sox!

What is status of Bogaerts?

Have fun Ted!

Ridiculous how Young ran the bases. Lamentable!

That was all on Bradley. If Young continued home, Smoak had him dead. Young was getting back to 3rd easily. Bradley pulled a rock running to 3rd without watching Young. It cost us a run although Marrero picked us up.

That's not what the Toronto announcers said. They were adamant that Young had committed and needed to keep going. Edited by jad

I think that both Bradley and Young had a second chance to go back to their respective bases, but I have to see it again compadre.

If he had kept going, Smoak would have thrown home and not taken the ball to first. He would have been out with a good throw. When he stopped, Smoak had him hung out to dry, but when he took the ball to first Young was getting back in easily. Bradley was running to 3rd with his head down. I am sitting on the first base side and had an excellent view of Smoak and Young's reaction.

what the hell is wrong with Beni? I thought he was smart.

What the hell difference does it make with 2 outs? runner on 2nd versus runner on 3rd?
