This x100. I wish we had a like button for this...

Pablo and Crawford were both awful contracts but at least no one can say Crawford didn't care or put in the effort. He definitely cared and he did work his ass off, he just couldn't handle Boston for whatever reason, some people can't. If Pablo didn't have so many excuses and ******** and didn't show up overweight, I'm sure no one would have this much hate for him.

Its a joke people think these athletes cant be criticized. Pablo made millions, didn't care, gained weight and was a horrible player.

No one is saying Pablo can't be criticized for getting complacent in 2016 and showing up out of shape.

The guy certainly dug his own grave, as far as a starting job on the Sox goes.

Unfortunately for Pablo and the team, his skills have erroded to the point where ever showing up to ST this in better shape was no help.

But there are a lot of posts here that go far beyond simple criticism of his performance.

No, they weren't. Pablo took the benching and the injury to heart, and he worked hard to atone for not being in better condition that year. It's not like he didn't care or didn't try.

I don't think he cared or tried in 2015 and 2016. I think he tried his hardest this year, but his skills had eroded too far.

I did my best to support him 100% this offseason, because it was in the best interest of the Sox that he performed up to the contract. It just didn't work out. Now that he's gone, I'm ok with the gloves being off. It's not like he reads this place.

Besides his performance, he was criticized for his lack of preparation which was valid and obvious from his complete neglect of his conditioning. All of the criticism was and is valid and not at all beyond the pale. I had not attacked his character until he quit on the team and left with his $50 million. That demonstrates to me a complete lack of trying to honor his contract and yes, a lack of character.

I have to admit that when he was signed I was a happy guy. I thought it would work. It didn't. Actually it kind of looks like one of the worst signings in Sox history. The money that he made and the money that he took with him is obscene. I'm only a small voice but I owe this dub nothing. He is likely laughing at us as he heads toward the bank. Good for him - Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya. A sad story but I don't feel sorry for him and anything that anyone says about him is likely not going to bother me much.

Also, he has given the Pandas a bad name.

As if the lawsuit against the real WWF didn't hurt pandas enough!

The Giants are signing Sandoval to a minor league contract.

https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017/07/giants-to-sign-pablo-sandoval.html

The Giants season is over and so they have nothing to lose. Moreover, Sandoval might even help them lose a few games, thereby strengthening their draft positioning.

Of course, I wouldn't be surprised to see Panda hit over .300 with the Giants in the second half and play sparkling defense at 3b.

It will be nice to not have to see him anymore. The Pablito posts will lessen.

He may never be forgotten, but at least he's not hogging (pun intended) a roster spot anymore.

Well he's not on our team anymore....... personally....... I hope he sucks and gets let go...... I guess I do hold a grudge.....

Normally I'd wish a former player the best, but not Pablo. I hope he sucks too.

Meh. He's gone to the NL. I don't care what he does unless we face him in the WS. Then I want him to be the Sandoval we here in RSN remember.

I hope he finds his way back to the ML team.

I hope he does too. And unless he's playing against the Sox, I hope he does well.

Bochy had nothing but good things to say about him.

Hes back with Giants but shouldve never left. He said he was disrespected in renegotiations, and maybe he was, but he took less money to play for Sox and he was beloved by fans and manager of SF. What can an owner say thats so bad that being in a perfect situation cant overcome. He says hes sorry and hes learned his lesson but those words ring hollow when you NEED a job.

I wish him luck, but does he deserve it? After all hes taking the place of other players that are looking for their big chance too.

With Pablow back in SF I am concerned for the well being of the residents of that region.

If a big earth quake happens when he is around his addition weight may cause the entire bay area to slide into the Pacific.

Then we will have to send in Snake Pliskin to try to save the Warriors.

Pablo should retire, there's nothing left in that tank. He's a millionaire, so he can go an eat around the globe hahaha

Pablo was dealing with some personal issues, a messy divorce and also something to do with his brother. Perhaps those things affected his play.

Yes, Pablo should have stayed in San Fran where he was loved.

All of these players experience real life away from the diamond. Many of them get divorced and experience personal tragedy, but they come to the field prepared to play. Pablo's did not come in condition to play. The "he was always far" argument rings hollow. He was unprepared to play, and even after 2 disastrous seasons, he admitted that he did not practice his fielding this past off season.

Pablo reacted slowly to a bunt in today's game leading to a big inning by the Diamondbacks. Diamondback Announcers were all over him for it. He's a shell of player-- an obese shell if that is possible.

Humpty Dumpty.
