JBJ---5 straight K's. Is it "here we go again", or a simple aberration?

Aberration!

Feel better now, Mal? :)

True that.. Its weird to actually be the first team to score for once. Its become a habit to be down by 3-4 in the 3rd inning...

Lol was just thinking the same thing. ... feels nice actually hahaha

Good start from Porcello, it looked like it was going to be awful in the 5th, but he battled and gave us 6 solid innings of 1 run ball.
Yep. he looked like he was coming apart at the seems in the 4th inning, but he regrouped to do a very solid job.

Must say it's been a breath of fresh air to what we have seen from our pitching staff as of late

Porcello has not been the problem.

Archer looks like he could use a change of scenery. Maybe we can get him while his value is low. And he could be reunited with Price.

Taz has given up as many Home Runs thus far in 2016 than he gave up in all of 2015 . He is at half the number of innings that he pitched in 2015.

More of what Porcello actually is.

Not spectacular, but good overall.

Porcello is a reliable #4 pitcher in a good rotation. In this one, top of the line starter.

Why is Wright warming up? Farrell seems panicked. LOL!
His two brain cells rattle around a lot more when he is on the road, because he doesn't sleep well in hotels. He gets disoriented. It is the managerial equivalent of Sundowners Syndrome.

Didn't he only go 2 innings last time?

I read something about Wright saying he could pitch tonight if needed because the bullpen is so gassed.

Got to love Wright. He is such a journeyman.

But still! LOL! Koji is kind of done but he won't allow 4 Rs, will he?

Knuckleballer pitchers are a different breed and they all seem to be good guys and team players.

Way back in the 60's-70's there was a lefthanded knuckleballer named Wilbur Wood. He once started both ends of a doubleheader.

In 1973 Wood went 24-20 in 359 innings - which was 17 innings less than 1972.

Can you imagine trying to hit a lefthanded knuckleball?

It's probably Wright's day to throw between starts. Uusally that's done before a game, but if Porcello had come out early, he would have done that in long relief. Since Porcello went 6, no need for that and so he got his work in during the game instead of before it.

Honestly folks, think a little.
