In the meantime, Buehrle is 36 YO and he is still looking very good, isn't he, Pal?

In 2011 I remember thinking Buerle was a bargain at 60 million.

Seems like the problem is not the using of his sinker. He is using it but, he has lost command.

Porcello, dressed in funereal black while standing in front of his locker, dismissed the suggestion that he was "lost” on the mound.

"No, I don't feel lost," he said. "I know what's going on. A lot of fat pitches. Bottom line is executing. That's it."

While it was a huge mistake, first off trading him and then giving him that extension, It is not Farrell's or Ben's fault regarding his execution. This is on him and at least he is aware of it. Shut him down till the all-star game and work with him whatever he has to work. it's enough already.

I think Porcello should pitch more often. If you're going to miss out on the playoffs, may as well tank for a high pick.

We are a first baseman that can hit a bit and a good pitcher away from making a push this year. Yea I flip flop ...........so what.......

This start by Miley is huge.......... can he hang with this bog dogs when needed?? We need to consistently win series against the ALE....

Can the offense give Miley some help?????

...... I just want to be relevant for the remaining 81 games....

Why did they f*** with Porcello? Can someone answer that question?

Also, Buehrle blows.

No clue if it was Porcello's idea, or theirs, but someone had better start f***ing with him again.

Pull him from the rotation until they straighten him out.

Aro gives up 3 runs in 3 innings and his ERA goes down! It is hard to see why Aro and that Fred Gwynn looking mofo, Barnes are on a major league roster. Since he will be there for the duration because of the $$$ , perhaps Porcello could just pitch batting practice for Napoli.

ahaha.... yes. That should read. If Miley can hang out just one night with the Americana Folk band "The Bog Dogs", he will do well this season.

Some here question weather they did or not.

When a sinkerball pitcher's sinker doesn't sink, he gives up a lot of home runs which is what we see with Porcello. In addition he has lost all command. I haven't seen or read anything that Boston suggested changes to Porcello's mechanics etc.

There is zero credible information that Porcello was tinkered with by the Red Sox.

Yup.

Actually Porcello himself is indeed aware that the problem is his command and execution.

As I said, shut him down until the all-star game and help him fix this.

U? is the only one beating that drum. Just a cop out to dodge the fact that he is a bad pitcher.

Peter Abraham's article pretty much makes it clear that Porcello insists on throwing a change up too often and is getting clobbered. It isn't a case of the Red Sox trying to change him but rather Porcello throwing what he wants with negative results. Regarding U?, I stopped reading anything he posts and have had him on ignore for long time. He is just a troll who tries to provoke. He adds nothing of substance.

yup, U?'s modus operandi.

BC has to go. Farrell has to go... but this thing is on Porcello. He is simply a bad pitcher with one fluke year (which wasn't that good). Nothing more, nothing less.

It's pure BS the story that the coaching staff tinkered with Porcello. It makes no difference to me one way or another. Some people think this helps exonerate Ben for his impulsive and very poorly conceived idea to extend the guy for big bucks with the expectation that he would be stepping up his game to become a top of the rotation pitcher. Far from exonerrating Ben, if true, it just adds another reason to fire Farrell. If Porcello straightens himself out and lowers his ERA by 2 runs, he is still a 4 ERA bottom of the rotation starter not worth $82.5 million.

Grow a pair. Also, where have you read this? This is typical, whenever you get called out on your BS, a phantom source appears. What a pussy.

Come on Dracul, are you still chumming those waters. You are better than this. You have baffled many with your ********. This s*** with Porcello is your weakest yet. Crank it up a notch or try to be an actual human being for a little while.
