The Natinals are a nothing team for me. Can't get excited about them, can't hate them. They're just THERE. Like the city of Oakland or the Mariners. Also, I preferred them when they were in Montreal with those ill uniforms.

Porcello has been pretty sharp today, not ace worthy, but good.

 

On the other hand ... what he is doing today is kind of an ace's job description ... rescue the bullpen after a very taxing weekend.

What don't you find appealing about them? That pitching in D.C.! Seattle has Felix, and Oakland has a bunch of former Red Sox players.

MLB.TV has been not been working so well this year -- I have been having lots and lots of problems with the service.

Try going to your settings and unchecking "optimize hardware video rendering". I did that today and things seemed to get better. Not 100% perfect, but definitely less irritating than before. I might have just gotten lucky though.

 

Keep in mind I turned it off before Tibbs posted about it jumping all over the place, so I don't know about that.

I should have bought the Direct TV subscription. It came with MLB TV too.

 

I got both for this year....and it's the way to go. If you can swing it do the same. As for the game NB, the question I had was whether last night's game would be a anchor for us today or whether that dramatic 19 inning win Friday would be a spur to better things. Since the game Friday was a gutty TEAM effort and Sunday's was a one man arson squad, I believed the former would prevail. Good for us.

He's got 2 hits and 2 walks in the last 2 games. He'll come around.

 

A couple of his this year were really fluky though. But I agree, he will come around. Hopefully when other members of the offense are slumping, Napoli will get hot. Right now we're first in the AL East and the other guys are rolling, which is buying Nap some time before he needs to start changing games.

Bogaerts has the talent. But we have also seen this before. The guy was hitting .303 with an OPS over .800 on June 1 last year. He has the tools to be a major contributor. He just needs to show it for 6 months instead of 2.
