Personally, I do not want to see any man's junk flopping around on a beach. I don't care how sexy the man is.

There is something to be said about leaving things to the imagination.

We are all very hurt that you don't find our junk attractive. LOL

I agree.

You can't blame men for being obsessed with the beauty of the female form, though. :D

LOL Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of men's junk.

I just don't want to see it flopping around on the beach.

There's a time and place for everything.

I can appreciate the beauty of the female form. Not in a lesbian way. NTTIAWWT

If guys can be topless, why not women?

Not sure I'd want to see vagina at the beach either.

There are guys who have no business being topless anywhere.

Kimmi, you were the one to start the floppy weiner talk.

Yes, but only after all of the booby talk.

Word is Castillo has been taking balls in LF. Castillo in LF is a good move. Who plays CF between Betts and Bradley?

Hopefully Bradley. I like Betts out there but I think he'd be better in Right.

CF is Betts. You don't want to mess around with him. JBJ can play a great RF, which is invaluable at Fenway.
Which is why Victorino was such a valuable part of the 2013 team. Victorino was the best Outfielder on the 2013 squad and those skills were huge in Fenway's RF.

Betts is a terrific centerfielder. JBJ is otherworldly.

But....JBJ also has a much better arm, and Fenway's RF is cavernous, so playing Betts in CF and JBJ in RF is probably the best overall use of their respective skill sets.

On the road, you could put Betts in LF, JBJ in CF, and Castillo (who also has a good arm) in RF. The nice thing is that all three guys can cover all three spots from a fielding standpoint pretty well. That allows them tremendous flexibility should they need it.

Well said. I concur.

What is really funny as it turns out - is that everything "folks" projected for our kids has turned out to be - well, not wrong. There have been no 1975 Fred Lynn's ... but it is hard not to watch Castillo, Betts, Swihart, Vasquez, Bradley, Bogaerts, Owens, Rodriguez and see at least plausible early evidence of good players, some uncommonly so.

What management lacked was patience, and confidence in the fans' understanding of things. They wasted a lot of the time last year that XB or JBJ might have needed to log those "10,000 hours" Gladwell wrote about because they weren't MVP candidates right that f'in second.

And yes, I know that SSS abound with all of this, and I am not putting anybody in Cooperstown. BUT, guys often come around, if they have a chance to.

Not to be repetitive but I wonder how many of Cheringtons moves will turn out good. Even some of the pitching has done better. Unfortunately Cherington didn't have patience either, for his own picks. Using the farm is the best way to build a team.

Couple that with the ability of our utility infielder to also back up in all 3 outfield positions and we have some unique roster dynamics. It's entirely possible that this team could carry 13 pitchers comfortably for the lion's share of next season.

Cherington's long term plan is coming to fruition. He failed miserably in filling in the holes in 2014 and 2015, but despite what some people think, he had a long term plan/goal and he did not waiver from that. The team appears to be well set up for the foreseeable future.

Oh. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

You will be happy to know that Hanley's name has not been in any recent discussions about the team's outfield alignment for next year.

I'll have to disagree a bit there ... panic signing of Stephen Drew last year, Grady Sizemore - that is wavering and pointlessly so. THAT was the brass' problem.
