I would take the Dodgers over the Braves. Cards over Dodgers. The Cards never seem to lose these things when the Giants aren't playing. If the Red Sox can get by the Rays, they have a good shot at the Series--Miggy is hurting, Verlander not dominant. If they get there, they can beat the Cards. Home field is big for Boston based on their Fenway record.

I love this team, but I'll be the pessimist for the group.

AL

- Rays over Guardians

- Rays over Red Sox in 5 (Price pitching the clincher)

- Tigers over A's in 4

- Tigers over Rays in ALCS in 6

NL

- Reds over Pirates

- Cardinals over Reds in 4

- Dodgers over Braves in 4

- Cardinals over Dodgers in 7

- Cardinals over Tigers in 7 (no idea why....the Cards just seem to be able to get it done)

Can't tell you how thrilled I am to be wrong about that!!!!!!! What a great performance last night by so many guys. Love having Longoria be the last out on a Koji-san K.

Rays over Tribe

A's over Tiggers

Rays over Sox

A's over Rays

Pirates over Reds

Cards over Pirates

Dodgers over Braves

Dodgers over Cards

A's over Dodgers, earthquakes happen in both the Bay Area and South Bay, CA falls into the sea, A's win game 7 in AZ right before Thanksgiving, AGon drinks too much Modelo and drowns in the pool in AZ's outfield and Mattingly grows his epic stache back. Everyone wins!

And my WS prediction is still alive.

That and the Tigers are my excuse to not admit the Red Sox were the best team in baseball this year, even though they were clearly superior

Fixed.

That and I thought the Tigers were the best team in the AL this yr

Body of work - no chance ... especially since you have to count the last month of a hobbled Miguel Cabrera. Now would I pick the Tigers over the Sox in a best of 7? It would be tempting with those Top 4 starters - but Tampa's aren't slouches and Boston figured out a way there.

AL WC:

Guardians over Rays

NL WC:

Pirates over Reds

ALDS:

A's over Tigers in 4

Sox over Guardians in 4

NLDS:

Braves over Dodgers in 5

Cardinals over Pirates in 5

ALCS:

Sox over A's in 7

NLCS:

Braves over Cardinals in 6

I'll stop here.

Okay. Wrong on the Sox opponent, but right on the number of games. Wrong about the Braves-Dodgers, even though I saw that coming. I'm hoping the Pirates win tonight, and I can still get the outcome of OAK-DET right even though I have the number of games wrong.

Just heard Gammons at Fenway gushing about Hanley Ramirez ("reminds him of Manny") and talking about how Price will wind up with the Dodgers. He mentioned a bunch of prospects hyped much like the Yankee prospects. Except TB doesn't go for media hype. They want the real deal.

Gammons used to be a beat reporter for the Globe. Then he became a millionaire TV pundit for ESPN. Times have changed.

Expect to hear the Dodgers and the Yankees hyped in the off-season. The big market media tickets to prosperity. The Yankees will need more media hype to get ARod suspended all of next year, so they can use his salary. I guess he is appealing his penalty, which seems odd compared to the other penalties given out. The guy has never been caught. Heaven help us if the Dodgers win this year. When money triumphs, baseball suffers.

Gammons has been right about very little in the last few years.

Please stop being mean to NY Suns.

LMAO!!!

So nice to be able to actually relax after work. Stress will be back Saturday but at least no work involved!

Well as you said earlier, none of us know s*** mvp. How in hell can anyone really dope these playoffs anyway? To me teams are so evenly matched that I cannot remember another post-season when it was as equal in strength and weaknesses as this season. That's why I didn't make a prediction. What I wanted I couldn't express for fear to jinx one team and to accept that one that I despise would get in.

You have the good life. I have test after test coming up tomorrow, Friday, and my birthday.

Please see User Name?'s posting suggestions.

I and a lot of us had a s*** ton of tests through out HS and College and in the real world. You'll survive.

Your birthday? Again? Wow, I think you've only mentioned it in about 30-50 posts. Keep up the good work! A lot of people actually share the same exact birthdate. Amazing isn't it?

You are a sweet kid but it's not always about you. FYI.

Peace and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Jinxes and mojo don't exist.

Woah

In no way did I mean to advertise my birthday. I was stating a fact in my life that will be going for the next three school days. It just feels weird saying Wednesday when it's really the day of your birthday.

Just a misunderstanding. I don't think it's all about me. I never have. I'm aware that some people are going through tough times right now. But that's what makes sports so great. We can all come together as one to cheer on a team that we all love, and temporarily forget any problems going on in the world, including the fact that the government is shutdown and if those shitheads in Congress don't get their act together by Thursday, then we go into a deficit.

Anyway, my point is that I'm more inclined to share the positives about my life and look at things optimistically. We all have some kind of problem in our life right now. I see this forum as a way to escape that, even if it's just for 5-10 minutes. I'm beginning to realize that this is why I have been obsessed with sports ever since I can remember. It's a safe haven. No matter what happens, sports will always be there for you.

ARod should appeal - it's his right, no reason not to hear it. Baseball wants him badly, and it is totally possible for them to have screwed up the investigation.

I expect that if Price is dealt, Rays want real value - not a ton of teams that can give it to them while being able to extend Price - the Sox interestingly are one of those teams, and Blue Jays are another, Orioles yet another. The Dodgers can pay him but I don't know if they can pay the Rays.

I remember him forecasting TJS for Lackey about two months ahead of time.

Red Sox vs. Cardinals in the WS just like in '04.

Red Sox win it all.

It would be nice to see the Dodgers out of it.

Sox-Cards would be a good series. So would the Dodgers - a grand stage for Kershaw, Puig is nothing but good for baseball.

We certainly are the favorites at this point, and rightfully so. Whichever AL team gets to move on will be tough, but their SP rotation will be out of whack because of today's game; ours is set. Our offense is better than that of anyone else, and perhaps most importantly, we have home field advantage. While the odds of us winning it all are still probably less than 50%, they are better than those of anyone else at this stage. Its going to be a fun ride.

I would like to see Sox / Cards in the WS since the Dodgers are going to be really good for a number of years.
