You remind me of a former poster we used to have. Also used to pick on mainly a700 and Jacko, similar to how you do now. He started off making good post, then started to act like an idiot and got banned. Would you mind posting a pic of yourself at the mountains? Edited by RedSoxfanforlife305

Not that it matters, but he's also not drunk, he's just being an idiot.

^^^

He probably had a sip of Keystone and got a fake buzz on. In all seriousness though, it's too bad, he seemed like he really wasn't doing that bad aside from the occasional weird string of posts similar to this when he's "drunk".

He's always been like that, though, not necessarily blaming it on being drunk, though. I wonder if he really does just get like that when he's drinking, or if he's legitimately struggling with that side of himself all of the time.

^This.

Had it coming though, and it was better not lo let it devolve into pictures of bat dicks and crushed skulls. He'll be back soon anyway.

I'd prefer if he posted a picture where he was throwing himself off of a mountain. I would take him off ignore to view that.

Ben still has to show he can slug it out at the trade deadline with other competing GMs. He strikes me as a quiet, patient, methodical guy--maybe a lot like the owner Henry. Lucchino seems to be the opposite--in between them in the organization charts. He did take a dig at Ben at the press conference, in the remark about Ben liking to hold onto to his prospects.

I have no problem with holding onto prospects, but I would like to see more of those prospects given the opportunity to help the parent team right now, rather than lead Pawtucket to the IL playoffs. For example, it makes no sense to me to be expending resources for a declining player like Michael Young, when you are deep in third baseman in AAA--Middlebrooks and Bogaerts--who have more power than Young and may be better defensively at this point. Young has surged a bit in the NL after a bad year in Texas, but the AL east may be worse than Texas for him.

Farrell has shown an ability to juggle lineups. I just wish he had some more of that AAA talent to juggle. Better to focus on pitching at the trade deadline--they are going to the well too often with B, T, and U.

Missed that first post. Thought this was a serious thread. The biggest difference this year is everybody in the organization is swimming in the same direction.

His main objective has always seemed to be to harass me and Jacko. Every time he comes back a group of other posters enjoy that aspect, but even they can't tolerate his antics for very long and inevitably he gets he gets banned. I've notice another pattern with this psycho. Each time he descends into complete stupidity shortly after I put him on ignore and stop engaging him. Sick pup. I do have a question for the mods. We knew for some time that this was Dutchy and we know how it will end. We can probably make a safe bet that he'll be back under is 125th identity before the season ends. Can we just ban him as soon as he is outed? He just clutters the place with stupidity each time. If he gets banned before he gets his yah yahs, he may stop coming back. Emmz can spot this jackass from his first or second post.

BTW: I was drunk last night too. Let's not blame the alcohol.

Ben's done a nice job. Being Theo's right hand man is a good experience clearly - and the way the farm system has replenished is a good reflection on him. He has fallen a bit into the "overpay for relievers" fetish tradewise - but I suspect some of that comes from the WEEI-obsessed ownership. But his ability to take a management ordered salary dump and turn it into an acceptable baseball trade (the Dodgers deal) has to be admired.

And the Beckett deal is easy to defend - flags fly forever, and because he lost his stuff the last 2 seasons does not take away his 2007 ALCS MVP. Also, if you are going to trade guys like Ramirez or Sanchez, a 25 year old controllable pitcher with #1 stuff and championship resume is the sort of guy that you trade for.

Without Beckett and Lowell in 2007 the Sox aren't champions. So the Sox had to deal Ramirez to make that happen.

He did - sort of. He and Hoyer were co-GMs at the time of the deal.

That's what I was getting at. The gorilla suit didn't make the trade and even said afterwards he wouldn't have done it.

The Hanley Ramirez trade that netted us Josh Beckett and Mike Lowell won us a World Series in 2007. Beckett was 20-7 that year with an ERA barely over 3.00, and we was 4-0 in the Playoffs in which he gave up only three runs. Lowell put numbers like 324-21-120 during the regular season and was WS MVP. To turn it around from one of your answers to one of my posts SR, YOU'RE KILLING ME SR. Also, you cannot be serious.
