CC turns 33 and will likely finish the yr around 210 wins. He has an outside chance so long as he ages well

Man, King Felix could be a 300 game winner on a good ball club. He only recently reach 100.

Its a shame Felix stuck around in Seattle. He turned 27 last month, and he already has 102. No way it happens if he keeps getting 14 wins a year though.

Detroit is just molly-whooping the Astros now up 17-1. Jeremy Guthrie also threw his first career shutout. (KC over CHW) Miami one-hit Philadelphia behind Jose Fernandez (although he only through 7 innings, but had 82 pitches)

As things stand right now has Halladay done enough to be a Hall of Famer?

I say yes. The level of dominance he displayed as in his prime as a pitcher was greater than any post-Pedro starter and his run from 2005 to 2011 rivals Pedro's peak years with advantages to choose from each -- Pedro was as much more dominant, as Halladay was more durable -- both very, very important attributes in an ace type starter. 200 wins, 2000 strikeouts, two Cys, and a track record as one of the most durable and effective pitchers of his generation ought to get him in.

Halladay? He was the best pitcher in baseball for a number of years. Two Cy Youngs, and was in the top-5 in the voting five more times, as well as 8 all star games. Shouldn't even be a discussion IMO.

Halladay is a HOF. just not a 1st ballot one. I think the rest will revive him somewhat. He need location on his pitches. Damaged arm is tough to do just that.

Not to mention that he pitched in a division against 2 really good teams in the Sox and Yankees and in a division with good lineups and small ballparks. I only imagine how many wins he'd have if he were in pinstripes.

Watching the Shields vs. Sale battle right now, and I must admit I've never heard anyone as annoying as Kansas City broadcasters.

If this ends up being my last post on this board, it's because I jumped off the roof because the guy said "here comes Moose" next time Moustakas comes to bat.

Yes, the KC broadcasters are outright irritating, but as a fan who remembered the end of the Brett era, it's nice to see that team take its legacy back. Some oldtimers know what I mean when I say that this the way they used to do it in KC. Lots of pitching, lots of D, a solid balanced speed attack and enough power in the middle of the order to get by. Nice to see them find their way.

If you do, we'll have the truly worst broadcaster ever give the eulogy.

"He gone."

I didn't know bruised egos required trips to Dr. Lewis Yocum.

It was merely a joke.

I'm sure we'll get the official reason tomorrow once he visits the Dr.

The Cubs owning Texas 6-0 in the 5th. That's baseball for ya

And they were shutout for 7 innings by Scott Feldman, a guy that had an ERA near 5 for the Rangers the past few years.
