Pretty tough words for a geriatric patient. Time to go empty your colostomy bag before it spills all over your keyboard.
Yeah, right. I'd kick the s*** out of you.

You know better than to feed trolls.
It's Dutchy. He sent a gruesome picture to my PM inbox before I even responded to him. He is the biggest loser psychopath that this forum has ever seen. I just like to remind him that he is the lowest of the low. I apologize for feeding the trolls.:D

I got a PM from the troll too.

I've literally heard nothing about this kid. Is he a legit C prospect?

I saw that snippet this morning, kind of surprised Vazquez came up. I thought he was on the cusp of being kicked off the 40 man roster. He might turn into a backup catcher in the majors some day.

Sorry guys. Just shoot me a PM/email when this happens, takes literally 3 seconds to ban the guy, delete his posts and delete all PMs he's sent.

It takes 3 seconds?!? That's kind of unacceptable.

I know some people think I'm talking out of my ass a lot especially being an optimistic fan, but when I was talking about Lester I consistently talked about how he was opening up his front leg, almost like a gate swinging open.

Here's a quote from Farrell today:

• On Jon Lester’s delivery: "The delivery you see now is like he was before. The lead leg was like a swinging gate, collapse on the backside, lost that downward plane. He’s made some tangible adjustments in camp. They started late last season."

I haven't seen him throw at all but it sounds like he's corrected this issue, at least for now. When you have the bases juiced in a 1 run game and you stop thinking about mechanics a little bit, that's when you can tell if you've actually corrected the issue. Either way, today's outing from him was a very encouraging sign.

Also, De la Rosa hit 100 today. It's February 24th.

SFF, kuddos to you my friend and don't worry about "talking out of your ass" because you hit a home run with the bag full from where I sit. I only thought Lester might be opening up too soon watching him from the apartment seats at Wrigley last June and on my computer.....you saw it with your own eyes and were convinced that is what he was doing that was inhibiting him. Look, SFF, it anybody ought to be mad it's me because I coached baseball for 30 years and only "thought" he might be doing that. YOU SAW IT!!!!! Again, all the best. As for the optimism, 700 Hitter and I have talked about your upbeat personality and nothing wrong with that at all. We need some of that here to counteract some of the old war horses who may have become just a tad jaded.

Farrell corroborated what you said and Lester looked fine today. So chalk one up in your ledger and keep the good thoughts coming. I'm with you all the way.

He may LIKE TO THINK his reputation is as brutally honest. But in all reality most people see him as the grumpy, miserable curmudgeon that he is. If he finds it boring to get looks at Bogaerts, Bradley, De La Rossa, etc. then he likes complaining more than he likes baseball.

I've gotten to know 700 from numerous phone conversations and you're completely wrong about the guy who I now consider a friend. Not that he or I or anyone else is beyond criticism, but I thought your attack on him was very personal. Please go lightly on this from here on in. I've been guilty of this too, many of us have, but it seems to me we have a pretty good crew on here now and I think most of the bile has disappeared. Just my advice which you can accept or reject.

Define "legit." He probably has a shot to wind up as a solid roleplaying catcher. Maybe a poor man's version of the skillset Yadier Molina brings, but with nowhere near Molina's upside.

I see his ceiling as somewhere in the .260/.320/.380 range with respectably solid D (but nothing the world has never seen before). Some people are going to prefer that over whatever we expect to get out of Salty, some aren't.

If the cards fall right for Vazquez, he probably winds up replacing David Ross, in other words. Which is fine, we could use a guy who can be that kind of catcher to play behind our starter. Just don't expect a starting caliber catcher out of Christian Vazquez himself.

If they signed him to a big league deal that might even be relevant. If he turns out to have something, that's the only scenario in which we'll actually hear about him again.

Apparently the Red Sox just signed Ryan Rowland-Smith to a minor league deal.

Not a bad idea. I can see why they're checking him out. I don't exactly expect huge things there. But there's enough of a chance that I can see why he's being brought in.

Not a bad idea? Well how about not a good idea either!!!!! You're right on one thing....you don't and I don't expect huge things from him, in fact I don't expect anything from him. We are talking about the dude who went 1-10 the last time he pitched in the Major Leagues aren't we? And that was in 2010, wasn't it? He sounds like a total bust to me.

It seems Cherington is acting like he's caught in a revolving door and can't find his way out.

It's a ST signing. That's it. No one should be overly happy or bummed by this move. Just because it gets reported on twitter or MLBTR doesn't actually mean it's an important make or break signing.

Dojji has it right in that if we ever hear from him again it will most likely mean he earned a spot on the team, which would mean he is playing well. Or the 10 guys in front of him on the depth chart go down. And if that's the case it won't really matter anyways.
