Please reds, lets show some decorum eh? The trolls are attempting to push buttons and by all accounts are succeeding. Swearing at them pleases them for some reason. Sarcasm is a much better tool

Hello.

My name is Joackim and I come from the official Swedish Supporters Club for Liverpool FC - soon 10 000 members. I wonder if someone in here wanna answer some questions about your owner. I think you knows that he to 99.9% has brought Liverpool Football Club too.

Please send an PM to me.

Cheers,

hi lads,

I am a scouse, a person who is born in Liverpool. There seem to be confusion about who we are and what our motives are. Therefore, I am willing to help you out a little.

We are Liverpool FC, an English football club who used to be best. But in 1990s we were overtaken by those Munich bastards calling themselves Manchester United. Yes, admittely they are good team. Right now worlds best team and they have produced worldknown stars such as Beckham, Cantona, Ronaldo etc.

Well enough of that, we have also some few stars of our own such as Konchesky, Joe Cole, Poulsen (maybe not that famous) and El Hadji Diouf.

I also want to inform you that the true scousers who are from Liverpool itself do not hate Americans. Well we do hate you and your baseball and we also burnt your flag h t t p : / / w w w .youtube.com/watch?v=_J0gBrP_GcI&feature=player_embedded

but that was because of Hicks and Gillette.

I hope Henry can help our team out by selling some of the assets in Red Sox and provide some funds to buy good players. We need to strengthen our "worlds best midfield". I mean Lucas is alright, so is Poulsen but we need maybe Sissoko from Juve. We also need new central defence as Carragher is scoring more and more own goals lately.

Anyway, feel free to ask questions and I will try to answer them.

Another muppet, just shows how interesting their lives are when all they do is go onto forums to try to wreak havoc and cause arguments. Just so there's no confusion he is not a Liverpool fan, or "a scouse" as he so eloquently put, he is in fact a Manchester United fan, one with no life at all I presume.

I'd like to apologise on his behalf, as he probably doesn't have any decency what so ever.

I'd like to thank all the Red Sox fans' date=' especially Dojji that have helped us Liverpool fans with a little information regarding John Henry and what he's like.[/quote']

Just registered to second that. Thanks guys. Ignore the idiots, they're a tiny (but loud and obnoxious) minority of football (soccer) fans.

I must say that im surprised by the news that a man such as Henry, seemingly astute and with an admirable business acumen would be interested in investing in a dying football club.

When it comes to Liverpool FC, they will always be up against it, the supporters simply wont fully accept anyone that.....

A) Doesnt have a bottomless pit of cash for player signings

B) Hasnt been involved at Anfield for years

They're a fickle bunch Liverpool fans, they lost on Sunday against Blackpool and the chorus of boos at the end was disgraceful, considering the new coach Roy Hodgson has only had something like 7 league games thus far

Let me tell you something about their relationship with Hicks and Gillet......

Proclaimed them the men to bring the glory days back to the club, these two owners forked out untold millions for....Javier Mascherano, Fernando Torres, Albert Rieria, Glen Johnson, Alberto Aquilani, and are now bankrolling Joe Coles astounding weekly wage

They chose to respect the fans wishes and not get rid of Rafa Benitez earlier despite the fact that in 5 years he had turned them from European Champions to complete jokers and spent an absolute fortune on very average players like Skrtel and Kuyt

Liverpool FC are simply a spent force, and the demands of their absolute lowlife supporters to compete with Chelsea, Manchester City and scum will be a huge burden on The Red Sox and you will suddenly begin to see holes developing in New Englands investment balance sheet

Red Sox fans you should be worried, they wont care for the future of your club one little bit and will turn on this man the minute he doesnt bend to their demands

This will of course be aided by the numerous ex Liverpool players dotted throughout the British National Media, they are trotted out when it times to take a pop at whoever has bent their nose out of shape this week

For example......Heysel, European Cup Final v Juventus, 39 dead Juventus fans due to a wall in the stadium collapsing because of the rioting of Liverpool fans (Liverpool FC still to this day refuse to apologise for this)

The reports in the media blamed it on West Ham, Millwall, Chelsea and Leeds United fans running rampage, not a huge surprise considering the media is almost entirely made up of former Liverpool players

Leeds United for example had up until the mid-late 90s a severe hooligan problem, and the media cant do enough to put the boot into that club, when things are going bad they never miss a chance, vile, scum yada yada

Liverpool fans were solely responsible for the deaths of those 39 Juve fans and its UEFA's fault for chosing to stage the game at an old stadium (One that had passed health and safety checks tough)

My fear for you guys is that in an era that has seen the rebirth of The Red Sox as a major baseballing force, you are about to have the rug swept from under your feet by Liverpool fans deluding themselves that they will be able to keep up with Billionaire owners at Chelsea and Manchester City because they have a wealthy new owner

Their time as a footballing force has came and gone, and if your owner has any sense he will leave them to stay there

Hello,

I hope the mods and admins on this forum can distinct the mancs from us liverpool supporters.

They are bunch of trolls who are now calling me a manc so my voice can be muted.

Anyway, John Henry is our saviour. We and Red Sox fans share a common desire for success. Like your 86 years drought was ended, I hope our 20 years will do too.

The only problem is of course, money. We need alot of money. We have an average team right now. We had the most horrible manager ever who wasted alot of cash on mediocre players but luckily he was sacked and went on to Inter Milan.

This won't affect the day to day operations of the Red Sox. Why are you people now trying to link the fortunes of Liverpool and the Red Sox? The teams didn't suddenly join and become one.

you sir are a moron.

We already tried to apologize for that. The Heysel murdering were by the other liverpool fans. Not the good ones like us.

The juve fans were taunting the Liverpool supporters so we rushed them and forced them up against a wall and battered them to death. Where was the police? I mean they have to take some responsibility. Up untill this day we have taken the full responsibility for the murdering of 39 juve fans but I still blame the security on that day.

If not, Liverpool fans will force him out and demand Dalglish take over at Anfield

Ladies and gentlemen exhibit A

How can you try to apologise, you either apologise or you dont

All you did was a tribute when you played Juve in the European Cup a few years back

A tribute that the Juve fans in the Anfield Road section turned there back on

Why??

Because you have yet to apologise

Never really been a fan of clubs that buy success, but that is unfortunately how football in the UK has progressed.

They're a fickle bunch Liverpool fans, they lost on Sunday against Blackpool and the chorus of boos at the end was disgraceful, considering the new coach Roy Hodgson has only had something like 7 league games thus far

Very true, it was disgraceful, and I dont think youll find a Liverpool fan who will deny that. But are you telling me that other clubs would not do the same?

Let me tell you something about their relationship with Hicks and Gillet......

Proclaimed them the men to bring the glory days back to the club, these two owners forked out untold millions for....Javier Mascherano, Fernando Torres, Albert Rieria, Glen Johnson, Alberto Aquilani, and are now bankrolling Joe Coles astounding weekly wage

Untold millions? Funny, I was under the impression that most of these figues were disclosed...

They chose to respect the fans wishes and not get rid of Rafa Benitez earlier despite the fact that in 5 years he had turned them from European Champions to complete jokers and spent an absolute fortune on very average players like Skrtel and Kuyt

Proclaiming Kuyt to be average has immediately devalued your argument based on football terms. If he was so average why would he have started every game at the World Cup for the runners-up? And as regards the 'transformation' from European Champions to complete jokers, the club were always on an upwards trend until Hicks and Gillette became involved.

It is not the denial of demands that we did not like under Hicks and Gillette, it was the broken promises and the fact that every bit of money they put into the club was borrowed and leveraged against the club, meaning that as they could not pay the money back eventually, Liverpool would have been seized by the Royal Bank of Scotland and even asset-stripped or liquidated - thus ending one of the most historic sports teams in world history and the most successful English football team ever.

As I was not alive at the time of the Heysel disaster, I cannot answer you there - I instead put you in the direction of my esteemed and knowledgable fellow Reds fans who would be glad to put you straight on that one.

As for us 'pulling the rug out from under the feet of' Boston Red Sox, I imagine that John W. Henry himself would freely admit that if he were not capable of managing both ventures successfully and without bias he would not have put forward a bid.

Here's one, I am not scouse- I am not from Liverpool.

We boo so early on:

An Early Rooney song heard v Fenerbahce on his debut in September 2004

30 million, f*ckin' by'eck,

We've signed a Scouser,

who looks like Shrek

-well isnt that nice for a new player

You went a bit far with the 'untold millions'.

You spent ?7m on an unknown player - COMPLETELY.

They have apologised.

The media is made up of maily ex liverpool players. *cough*

We are not going to sweep the rug from under them, stop stirring things.

We are still a footballing force.

We didn't turn to 'absolute jokers'

Stop taking nonsense you troll.

Nobody is asking for a bottomless pit of cash. Liverpool Football Club had more international players representing their countries at the World Cup than Manchester United, Chelsea or any other team in the English Premier League. And we're not talking players from Andorra or Armenia either - Spain, Holland, Argentina - 3 of the Semi Finalists to name just a few. The club does not need massive investment in the playing squad.

Listen now Red Sox fans - Liverpool Football Club was collapsing under the weight of the interest repayments on the massive ?400M debt the club was placed under by Tom Hicks and George Gillette. Only ?270M of this debt needs to be paid off.

After that Liverpool Football Club can easily pull in ?40M a year and will be in a very healthy state. The club is not a money pit like this scaremongering troll would have you believe, and you honestly have nothing to fear from John Henry taking over at Liverpool.

To DonegalRedSox

I am a lifelong Liverpool fan for the past 35 years, to say we are xenophobic against Americans and we are hooligans is quite disappointing and insulting. Not all of us are communist, flag burning eejits. I think your view is very short-sighted and narrow-minded.

Like most normal like-minded Liverpool fans, we have great respect for our opposing teams. This was only reflected last week when Blackpool fans were wandering around Liverpool city shaking hands with Liverpool fans who actually applauded them after the match at Anfield. With regards to the hooligan element, we were not the only club in Europe who were plagued with a hooligan element in the 1980s, you should go to Celtic V Rangers, a Lazio V Roma match, Ajax V Feyernood, Barcelona V Real Madrid, Fenerbahce v Galatasaray, Boca Juniors v River Plate then you will see they also had their fair share of problems. Anyway, all the clubs in Europe have made a concerted effort to stamp out hooliganism and racism, so what you're sayin is old news anyway

We are family orientated club, if you ever got a chance to go to Anfield and see the legendary electric atmosphere legendary, then you only would understand our devotion and passion for our club. Soccer is watched all over the world. Liverpool FC is one of the few clubs that have a global collective fan base reaching as far as Asia, Australia, Japan, the Middle East and Africa and believe it or not even in Afghanistan and Iraq.

We are fighting for the very heart and soul of our family. We are a people’s club not a franchise, We have protested through peaceful means by sit in protest and rallies and various email campaigns to make our point. If your beloved Red Sox club was in our situation I am sure you would not be sitting there twiddling your thumbs.

I haven’t come here to pick fight with anyone but I just want to clarify our stance. I just want to thank most of the broad-minded Red Sox fans for reassuring us of our concerns. All I am saying is that Sport events are supposed to bring people from different nations together in times of difficult international political climates. It would be great, we all respected each other and agreeing to disagree on certain issues.

You've made 12 posts on the site and now you are telling the moderators what to do! This is typical Liverpool supporter arrogance.

Back on to the debate. How can we be sure there is enough funding to go around for the Red Sox and Liverpool? We are still in a world wide recession and it will take the best part of a $billion to get Liverpool challenging again.
