Hysteria? What are you on about? That we have petitioned far and wide to rid our club of the worst owners in over 100 years of history?
Violence? Most English Football Clubs have a history of violence. Hooliganism was rife in the 1980's in English Football. LFC are no better or no worse than any other English Club. The Heysel tragedy is a black mark on our souls, yes, but the club have fostered and built upon relationships with Juventus and Italian Football since then. Over 20,000 people protesting against our owners and not one single arrest - where's the violence?
Arrogant? LFC have won 5 European Cups, 18 League Championships, LFC are the most successful club in England, so we have every right to demand that our club competes with the best.
Anti-American xenophobia? Claptrap. Anti Gillette & Hicks yes. but stop being so sensationalist.
LFC are one of the most admired clubs around the world. Our supporters are far and wide in the millions, and our matchgoing supporters are renowned for supporting the team through thick and thin, for applauding the opposition when we are beaten, for being patient and loyal with our players, and for being behind many good causes, such as the Free Michael Shields Campaign, the Hillsborough Justice Campaign etc. LFC are one of the biggest clubs in the world, albeit a club currently in crises because of it's parasitic (and outgoing) owners.
Lastly it looks like the Red Sox aren't staying well clear, so get used to it. :harhar:
