OK I can understand why we're suddenly inundated with Liverpool fans since they might need information we have about Henry, and can share a perspective about their own team, but the only reason rival Britball fans would come here would be to troll the Liverpool fans, so I'm going to have to respectfully request that the rival fans keep their noise down. And please, both sides, Liverpool and non, quit poisoning the waters on each other in a neutral site, or we'll just get the impression that the lot of you are too far gone to be worth our time.

Thanks in advance.

Quite right Dojji, the trouble is that most of these fellas are not from around these parts, they are foreign people who gloryhunt the clubs and as such they think it's ok to carry on like they do. People from around here would never disrespect the dead the way these fellas think it's ok to do, no respect you see. I blame poor parenting myself.

Hello, I am a football fan from Europe and I would like to remember the americans on this board who are unaware of Liverpool, that Liverpool is a big cancer.

They are the scum of football in Europe. They murdered 39 italian fans in Heysel. They also robbed corposes of their own fans during the Hillsborough tragedy.

And their fans and players are mostly knowns as the "deluded ones". They believe they are the best, when they lose its everyone and everything elses fault then theirs. Hell, they even blame all the referees to be corrupt.

Also I would like to mention that the sale has not gone through yet, so you could still protest against this and Henry might change his plans. We football fans would appreciate it. Do not bail out Liverpool, they are sinking at the moment and in 18th place which means they will be relegated at the end of the season.

Justice for 39

Good grief, are you from Manchester? Do you like using the deaths of foorball fans to provoke your rivals? Your comments from Hillsborough are ill-judged and come from a false headline from the Sun. I suppose your stance makes it out to chant about winning the European Cup without, in your words, "killing anyone".

This lad should be ignored, and if possible banned.

Anyone interested in Hillsborough should go here.

And not listen to someone who is clearly intent on causing trouble and disharmony. He also, dare I say it, gives Manchester United fans a bad name.

Is this the same rag who later apologised for telling these lies?

why should we not read UKs most selling newspaper and instead read a biased jibberish that obviously some deluded scouse has written.

The Sun have never really apologised for that headline. They did a half arsed attempt after Rooney sold his story to them but the then editor Kelvin McKenzie has never apologised.

Is this by any chance a Manchester United Forum?

And all totally refuted by the lads & girls in the South Yorkshire Police who were present. It was the pond-life media who were stirring it and these allegations were later proved to be totally unfounded. Full Inquiry by Lord Justice Taylor absolved Liverpool Fans of any blame. What is your problem?

I hate that this is spilling over onto a Red Sox forum. It's sad to see, and I can only apologise that people who supposedly 'follow' other teams feel the need to be such idiots.

Quite all right, we have Yankee fan trolls here on a regular basis -- and a couple of relatively respected New York fans that know how to be decent and stay around to remind us that not all of them are like that.

sorry, didn't quite get that, any chance you could say it again in English, there's a good chap.

I agree! this is not the place for this s***!

Back on topic, Dojji mate, educate some of the new LFC fans coming on about Henry etc.

JS, we in the states have a saying that's gotten around our side of the internet. It goes something like this:

Don't Feed The Troll.

Judging from this thread I think John Henry should retract his bid.

Be a shame if you though that of a few ill-judged remarks. Honestly most reds who have signed up here do not want any type of aggrevation.

It's being invaded by a bunch of wind up artists mate. The real Reds (Sox and LFC) are the ones asking and telling the great History and traditions of both sports teams.

If you know nothing about LFC then let me answer your questions.

I agree, personally I'm for fan ownership. No offence but I don't see why someone from America would be interested in owning our club unless it's to make money. I want us to own our own club, I want to secure it's future away from predators for my children and their children. We have a couple of groups trying to arrange this for us but to be honest with you we are probably years away from being able to get a stake.

Agreed mate. Come on lads tell us about him please.

What is there to say?

The three points LFC will need to know about the guy:

1: He's a hands-off owner who believes in letting baseball men run his baseball team, so I imagine he'll let "football" men handle his "football" team (in quotes so as not to confuse Americans). He does not make knee-jerk firings. He does not try to impose his will on transactions. He is a smiling face in the owner's box and the occasional public appearance and other than that he lets other men be the face of his franchise.

2: He believes in spending to compete and is not afraid to be among the biggest spenders in a given league if that's what he feels is appropriate. The wallet will be open and the team will attract the best players it can.

3: He has a history of restoring credibility and confidence in a prestigious team that's down on its luck. Before his Sox days he led the upstart Florida Marlins, a rather cash-poor expansion squad, to a World Series win in 1997. He helped us to rings in 2004 and 2007. I really expect Liverpool FC's dignity and standing in its league to improve and its worldwide impression to be markedly better after he's had his hand in for awhile.

Oh, and a possible #4: Apparently, he's paying in cash, meaning Liverpool FC won't be loaded down with his debt problems on top of their own.

How does he make money and how much money does he take from your club?

Yeah, great points mate. We hardly ever hear or see him with regard to the Sox.

He does his talking in signings for the team.

Sad end to the season for us but with the injuries we had, we did a great job to get as close as we did.

Only one sstarter on the last day that was there opening day.

Glad Papi came around and shut the East Boston bridge jumpers the f*** up.
