Lost credibility? How? They made a huge move, and didn't sign a guy who was severely SEVERELY overpaid for by a team who HAS to overpay to get top talent. The more and more I think about it, the more I want Ordonez for 2/3 years at 10 million per. .312 average and .890 OPS for his CAREER, big RH bat in RF/LF. Steal him from the Tigers and you may get a steal.

There is no way they are done this offseason though.

 

I have a feeling an extension has already been agreed upon. Just not signed.

 

Not sure what else they do about getting another RH bat.....but I assume they will acquire another bat.

 

They still need a bullpen arm.

Nice post... agree completely. I wanted Werth but not at the absurd numbers the Nats gave him. $17 million a season for 7 years? If the Sox did that deal there would be a mob on Yawkey way ready to lynch theo and Henry from the nearest lamp post.

 

I've always liked Mags... seeing him at Fenway 81 times a year would be sweet
