I'll give credit where credit is due. You are one of the few Yankee fans that doesn't get over-excited about marginal players just because they came from your farm system.

I view Melky as a back up OF. He doesnt have the power to be an everyday COF. Having Melky and Bubba in LF/RF is killing us. Add that to Miguel Cairo playing 2B with Cano out and watching the Yankees on offense will make you want to jump out of a window. But you gotta love how they explain how these guys are on the team. "Oh Bubba is great.....he has a belly full of guts". "Cairo really knows how to handel a bat" (.219 BA I dont want to even look at his OBP).

I might be the only Yankee fan that hates Bubba Crosby.
Hate might be a little strong. Afterall, he is just a marginal major leaguer who will disappear from the majors in a few seasons. If I were you I would hate that the Yankees' FO seems to have a high opinion of this bush leaguer.

True, my hate might be a little misguided. Why this guy is still on the team is beyond me. Kevin Thompson was on this team for around 2 or 3 games and he actually has more HR's and RBI's then Crosby.

Damn, Cain strikes out the side in the first. I have him on my fantasy team and would love to get another look at him now that he's found a groove. f***ing Saturday blackout.

On the first pitch he swung at a pitch around his eyes and popped up. In a game that we need base runners he really did his job huh?

But he's Melky. Hell he even has a candy bar now, the Melky-Way. I think you are being too hard on him.

5.25 ERA for Johnson on July 1st---not a good sign for the Yankees. I think the predictions of a big 2nd half will not come to fruition. I think that when he returns to pitching to AL East teams it's more likely that his performance will deteriorate.

Here we go, ESPN giving Arod excuses for playing bad defense this season

Joe Morgan

"A big part is probably because he reverted from the shortstop position"

 He's been there since 2004 season. And he has already eclipsed error totals of 04 & 05

Jaret Wright's 15-minutes of fame are up. He's getting yanked in the 2nd.

1.2 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 1 K

And that's with a guy making an out at the plate by not sliding.

EDIT: He's responsible for the two runners on as Villone pitches to Delgado.

I'm usually a fan of Jon Miller, but he's been pretty awful this game. Why are there no great PBP guys doing games right now? The next Vin Scully needs to hit the booth.

This is a big moment for A-Rod. If he fails, I don't even want to imagine what the boos will be like.

He did about as well as he could.

Here comes the curtain call...
