Its been reported now that the Brewers sent a scout to watch the Yankees' Philip Hughes, adding fuel to the rumor that Yankees are interested in acquiring Carlos Lee. Personally I feel it would be a bad move on Cashman's part. Hughes is looking like a bonafide pitching prospect that could be a #2 or 1 someday. Besides you guyys already have enough offense to carry the rest of the season

Joe might start Villone instead.

Looks like it won't be a problem; the teams would probably be lucky to get one game in today (of course, as I say that, they take the tarp off the field.)

I would personally lead a coup of the Yankees front office if Hughes is traded, especially for a quick fix in the outfield. On a similar note, there's been alot of scout sightings at Trenton lately; it's home to alot of our top prospects at the moment ( Hughes, Duncan, J.B. Cox, etc.)

Well, it's up to Willingham...................end of the bat. The bottom of their order won't touch Rivera. Game one goes to the Yankees. Go Anibal!

Cano was in the day game.

oo, I didn't see the game, I just checked the Gameday before I went to work, and it had Cairo playing 2B, Phillips at 1B, and Giambi DHin...what happened to Giambi

He had a stiff back and was scratched about 10 minutes before the game. Torre said he's probably going to play tonight.

Sanchez has looked OK-ish. He seems to really be missing spots, and thus far the Yankee lineup has bailed him out by chasing a little. He's got a decent 2 and 4 seam FB, but that change is silly. He should make that his bread and butter pitch.

Marlins' 1B takes away two runs from the Yankees...

Gotta tip your cap, hell of a play.

Sanchez did a pretty good job.
