Thanks for leaving him out there Willie. BTW can someone explain to me what Paul Lo Duca was getting in A-Rod's face about? He didnt pull a Manny or anything like that. Maybe he should be angry with the piece of s*** the Mets threw out on the mound tonight.

It was because ARod flipped his bat I think.

lol @ "Pull a Manny." He hasn't done that in a long time, the last one was to Proctor IMO, and that was because Proctor was running his mouth on how he could get Manny out, if I remember correctly.

I saw it again and he didnt even really flip his bat. Would you like him to place it down lightly? I think he was more pissed off that his pitcher gave up a damn bomb. I said pull a Manny because what he did to Proctor was one of the more extreme cases I have seen in a while.

EDIT: Manny also did that to Proctor last season. Comeon you know Manny sometimes watches his HR's. I remember he also did it to Zito back in the 2003 ALDS.

I wasn't really watching, but that's what the ESPN guys were saying. Yeah, I know, they're incompetent.

What's the big deal about someone watching their homerun? Is it really that offensive to people?

Is there any chance an NL team makes the WS interesting this year? I don't think so. The Mets don't pitch well enough, neither do the Cards or Cincy. SD and Houston can pitch, but their lineups are a joke. I think the ALCS is the end of the playoffs this year.

They actually agreed with me. They had no idea what he was upset about. I actually dont care about it. I have a bigger problem with my pitcher giving up the HR.

Don't discount the Mets just yet. their lineup is very good, and with Glavine/Pedro at the top of the rotation anything can happen.

That being said, I think they're the only NL team with a realistic shot at the WS, but too many things have to fall into place for them to win it.

Fair enough. I'm not really paying attention to it anyway.

The NL is a joke. Pedro is now out with a hip problem and you have to wonder how he will be when they reach October.. Glavine (outside of his last start which was impressive) was just terrible in june but still won some games. The rest of the roto is not good IMHO. They will call up Pelfrey soon and it will be intresting to see how well he does. From what I understand he has a great fastball but his secondary stuff isnt as nearly as good as other top prospects.

They can't outslug the Sox, Yanks, or ChiSox for 4 out of 7 games, IMO. Their best chance will be if the Athletics or Tigers somehow win the ALCS.

I'm still trying to figure out how Marcus Thames has given the Tigers a 1037 OPS. Its remarkable the production they have gotten out of some hitters.

I don't know either, but I picked him up in fantasy.

Anyone think there's a chance the Mets would move Milledge for Smoltz? That could be a difference maker for the Mets. Milledge can play CF, which would allow Atlanta to trade Andruw to complete the firesale. If you are going to rebuild, why not go all the way?

I think theres no chance. 1. From what I hear Omar will only move him for a younger pitcher I.E. Willis and even that is doubtful. 2. Would Schuerholz really trade Smoltz in the division to the Mets of all people?

Omar's mind may change after getting bitch slapped by the AL in inter-league play. Schuerholz probably isn't seeing Smoltz in NY as an immediate problem because they are out of it this year and aren't likely to contend next year. How many years would it take for Smoltz to pitch in NY to be a problem for the Braves after they complete their rebuild? And, make no mistake, the Braves are about to rebuild. The writing is on the wall.

I agree 100%. They prob should trade Somltz. If they were smart maybe the could get a pitching starved team to also bite on Tim Hudson who has stunk it up this year.

How funny is it that the Stadium fans are calling for curtain calls for ARod? It's so contrived (due to the fact that they were booing him two days ago) that it has to make you laugh.

Hypocrites........its there right to boo but it looks really bad when they cheer and ask for curtain calls.
