    There is no garentee that he will be ready to go at the beginning of next season. To trade him at this point he has little value. I can see where he starts his season with Woo Sox and makes it to Boston when ready. Next season is his last chance to show Sox he is the 1B of the future. If healthy that is added power without spending or giving up a lot in a trade.

    Like Duran a lot because of what he brings to the table, but has the skills that will help the Sox trade for a number 2 starter. Signing for next year makes it easier to trade him.

    Off season needs: 1. Number 2 SP - Peralta or Ryan in a trade 2. Resign Bregman or replace his production 3. Add a power bat

    Bieber only pitch the last part of the season so he may feel that a full season with a team that just went to the WS he will be able to make more $$$$$ next off season. Sox were the one team talk to last season before resigning with Cleveland.

    I think a healthy Perales is the top pitching prospect in the Sox system. He could be a future rotation fixture, or the future closer. Can't teach 100 mph!

    For this off season to be successful for the Sox Bregman needs to be in Boston. Solid defense at third, hit for power, and a true clubhouse leader. I don't think the Sox could find someone to replace all three of those things.

    I would hold on to Casas as well. His power is a big need for the Sox and trading him would be going against the needs.

    As bad as Mookie was in the WS, it was his hit that won game 6. Dodgers don't win WS if they don't win game 6,

    If the Sox don't add a true number 2 starter and some power this off season they will take a step backwards next season. Plus resigning Bregman is very important. Bregman's numbers might be able to be replaced, but the leadership can't. A lot of the kids look to him for guidents. So these are the top three priorities: 1. True Number 2 starter ( Probably beat the Yanks in Wild Card if they had one this year) 2. Resign Bregman 3. Add power bat

    If adding power is the Sox objective then replacing Yoshida as DH has to be a goal this off season. Alonso has been mentioned and his power plays in Fenway.

    Bleis has been a disappointment so far in his minor league career, but his tools keep him in top prospect status. This is why the Sox will protect him unless he is part of a trade package for a number 2 starter

    If Story ops out you are looking at issues with every infield positions. Wong was hurt the whole year so it explains his decline. I think catcher is the least of their problems. I agree with points 1 and 2, but number 5 I have questions with.

    Going to have to overpay to keep Bregman. Wouldn't go past 5 years. The Sox have to make this decision before they look at the rest of their lineup. Goal is to add more power and improve the infield defense. Finding a number 2 starter is still number one priority.

    Your 2026 roster doesn't add anyone, but loses Bregman and Giolito. If you lose those two and add Noone this team does not make the playoffs. MUST improve starting pitcher with a true number 2, and improve the power in the lineup.

    A number 2 starter is top priority as the wild card playoffs showed. I think trading for one is the best route. Right now Ryan and Peralta might be the best fits, Where Mayer plays depends on Bregman. Everyone says Casis can't stay healthy, but Mayer's last three seasons have ended with injuries. He has flahed the skill set needed to be an effective major leaguer, but he needs to stay on the field. Not disagreeing about Casis starting 2026 with Woo Sox, and signing someone to start year at first that could be traded when Casis is ready to be productive,

    RIP Gator! Williams, Yaz, Rice, and Greenwell. He keep the Red Sox LF position elite. Not a Hall of Famer like the others, but a solid major league player!

    Everyone writes Campbell of defensively, but he young and athletic. Make a decision where to play him and give him reps. We have seen players improve defensively. I think he is one of those players who has been stunted defensively trying to make him so versatile defensively. There are needs at first and second, but settle on one position.

    Buehler on a short prove me contract would be a get for the Sox. I think he turned the corner on his comeback in the playoffs. He has big game experience and i think would be a positive in a Sox playoff push in 2025. It's still Burns as first choice, but Buehler is my second choice of the remaining FA starters.

    Sasaki would be a huge get! Since money is not going to be the top factor the Sox need to sell the outside $$$$ that can be earn in Red Sox Nation, the success of past Japanese pitchers, and the new pitching plan the Sox have in place. Sox are in the conversations but not one of the favorites. Would be a good fit for a young team and could join Crochet at the top of the rotation.

    The rule is don't trade starting pitching unless there is a plan in place to replace the pitcher moved. With that said, if the Sox are going to make a run at the AL East then Crawford is either the #5 starter, or a piece in the bullpen, or moved to fill another hole in the roster. Don't trade Crawford until Burns, Buehler, or Flaherty is signed.

    The Crochet trade may put the Sox in the conversation of a wild card position in 2025, but a run at the AL East they still need a top of the rotation starter and a right handed bat with some power. The $$$$ are still there to sign Burns and Bregman, but Buehler or Flaherty and Hernandez works as well. I really think Buehler turned the corner in the playoffs and would not cost as much as Burns. Burns is still my first option, but Buehler with one of the right handed bat's and another piece for the bullpen works.

    The Sandoval signing only works if he can come back healthy and be above average starter for the Sox. It didn't work with the Paxon signing, and the jury is still out on Giolito. I understand the thought process of buying low with the hope of high returns, but it is no sure thing. SANDOVAL IS YOUNGER THEN Paxon so it may work.

    Bregman works because he is open to play second base. We know he can play third base and be above average defender. He has also played some short in his career and could fill in if needed. His bat plays in Fenway and he is a gamer that you hate when he plays for the other team. This potential signing comes down ro the Sox plan for Devers and Casas. Would the signing and versatility of Bregman allow Devers to play some 3B and some DH to keep him healthy. How soon in Devers new contract do they give up third base and become a DH. Also, don't trade Casis unless you can get a young top of the rotation starting pitcher.

    The Soto negotiations are putting a stall on what the Sox need to do to compete in 2025. You read so many rumors that you don't know what to believe. I just hope when it is over that all of the FA aces are not all gone.

    Pitching, pitching, and more pitching is where the Sox need to focus on this off season. I believe Bello, Houck and Crawford are the only 2024 starters to be part of the 2025 staff. That is if none of them are part of a trade to get a number one. The goal this off season is to get a legit ace and another reliable starter that can give them innings. Whether they spend in free agency or trade, an ace and another started are needed. Do not know what you will get from Giolito, and Whitlocks days as a starter are done, The Sox have money if ownership is willing to spend, or they can use some of the rising youth with position players that the Sox seem to be loaded with with to make a trade. Without fixing the pitching the Sox will remain a .500 team in 2025,
