  1. Amen Youk! Sanchez does that out in the real world he would be arrested.
  2. It takes a real man like "Sucker Punch" Sanchez to wait until not one, but two Tigers were being held down to get his punches in. I wonder if fat a@# C.C. thinks that is weak? C.C. have another donut! "Sucker Punch" suspension reduced to three games by Torre. What a joke! What is the rational of reducing a already weak suspension? Are we sure Torre is still not on the Yankee payroll.
  3. Also, an effective Addison Reed to get to Kimbrel is very important to the success of the Sox moving forward in 2017.
  4. If Price is healthy and can only pitch out of the pen he has to be on the post season roster. With more days off during the playoffs the bullpen plays a bigger role. (See KC and Cleveland the last few years). Price is better then any other lefty we have in the pen. He played that role for TB in his rookie season.
  5. Stanton gets hurt (Price) then what? All of that money tied up in one player is not where the Sox need to go. They would ask for Devers and Benny and that is young controllable players with a lot of upside. If you could get him without giving up Devers and Benny then maybe you could think about it. My fear would be that he would come to Boston and become what Judge has become (second half) for the Yankees. The bright lights of Boston has that effect. Right now he is playing in a stress free situation with the Marlins. So I would think real long before trading a Devers or Benny who have show that Boston doesn't seem to bother them.
  6. A lot depends on the plan for Hanley. If Hanley can't be your every day first basemen that eliminates many from that list. It would force DD to get a First basemen. Are struggles against left handlers says it should be a right handed bat with some power. It would be nice if they could catch lightning in the bottle with Brentz, but I don't know if he is ever going to hit above the AAA level. Travis would be another cheap option, But Sox need a 1B with power. Travis hasn't show that.
  7. If Fister has found himself he needs to be in the discussion. If he has a great September he should be in the picture. Don't forget we let Rich Hill get away. It's possible if the Sox signed Hill that the Price signing never happens. He has been real good for the Dodgers and for a lot less money then Price. Fister could be that find!
  8. Nice to see Grey's mistakes end up in the seats last night. Benny becoming new Yankee killer!
  9. Because of Labor Day weekend the appeal ruling won't come until Tuesday. How convientient, the Sox will already be out of town. "Sucker Punch"'s suspension will probably take place against a team that they could afford to miss him against.
  10. Last night showed why Sox need Pedey in the lineup. His glove is a difference maker and throw rusty at the dish came up with a hit.
  11. Is there anyone who believes that the Sanchez suspension is a joke! To begin with to only get four games for what he did is unbelievable. He sucker punched two Tigers that were being held down at the time and had no way of defending themselves. He was pulled away by a teammate after the first sucker punch and ran in to get another one. It should be four games for each. The appeal process is a joke as well. It should have taken place within a week of the incident. If his suspension gets lowered from the four games the whole system needs to be questioned. Thanks Mr. Torres for the great process. Not!
  12. The great C.C. Feels it is beneath him to have to leave the mound to field his position. Bunting has been part of the game forever and for the fat f$&@ to call out the Sox should be a motivation for the Sox to do it more often. The bunt threw him off as he walked the next two hitters. If the Sox would have tried to bunt with the bases loaded in the first I bet they would have scored. Not scoring changed the momentum and Sabathia seem to settle in. Let him throw at the Sox with his low 90s fastball. I would make him move around as much as possible. If you drag bunt on the first base side there is no way he can cover 1B.
  13. I Agee. Vazquez is starting to hit more consistently. I believe it is because he splits time with Leon and is fresh for this time of the year. If he caught more games I think he would run out of gas and you wouldn't see the bat that we saw in August. The walk off hr against Cleveland was outstanding. The catching position is the least of the Sox problems. Moving forward I wouldn't mess with the catching position.
  14. If Pablo was still here we could throw him as well. The Marlins are looking to dump salary in any Stanton trade. They would want young and controllable players in return. I'm sure Devers and Benny would be the start of what they want in any trade. As much as Stanton's bat would look great in the Sox lineup you can't take on that much $$$$$$$$$ and still give up your best young players.
  15. Can we get through September of 2017 before we start talking about 2018. There will be plenty of time during the winter to talk about next years pitching.
  16. These numbers show how much the Sox miss Big Papi! The 2018 version of the Sox need some power bats at 1B and DH. I'm tried of C Young and Hanley seeing so many ABs in these to spots.
  17. Bogaerts is one of many Sox players who is doing nothing at the plate. His looking at so many called third strikes has nothing to do with his hand. He use to take many of those pitches to right field. He seems lost at times. Farrell has him hitting fifth. C Young is giving the Sox nothing. It's telling when you have your DH hitting eighth. With September call ups Travis should get all of his ABs. when is the last time Hanley got a two out hit? There is a reason why he has so few RBIs. I'm getting tired of his act. He is getting paid big dollars to drive in runs from the middle of the order and he is not getting it done. I think aloof Mookie's problems are he has no one that gives any protection in the line up. The team the Sox puts on the field has no 4-5-6 hitters.
  18. Pedey catches that pop up that Nunez let's fall last night. Sox need his all around game back in the lineup.
  19. Devers has done more in the few weeks he has been with the Sox then Pablo did in his two plus years.
  20. An Barnes has one good outing and then one bad one. It seems when the Sox RPs are off that night, they are really off.
  21. If he is not hurt, he is done being a big time middle of the order bat. His bat looks slow and he is not the answer at 1B or DH.
  22. Have not been impressed with him yet. We still don't have someone for the 8th. I wish Kelly would step up.
  23. Sox will go as far as their pitching takes them. They are not going to out slug the better teams in the league.
  24. Devers put his stamp on the Sox - Spankee rivalry. I think the kid has proven he belongs. As long as he can make adjustments when the pitchers do so with him, he will be fine.
  25. Hitters can be too predictable with their approach. Need to mix it up. Can't just take every first pitch. Most of the Sox hitters that fall behind 0 -2 have no chance. Boggy has had some success this year with two strikes, but most of the Sox not so much.
