  1. At this rate maybe the Sox will sign me to play second base. I played second base in high school. I hit .300 for my high school career and have a decent glove! lol
  2. Sandlin much like Hicks has a big arm. As a starter there are a lot of arms a head of him on the depth chart though. The Sox tried him as a reliever at AAA and he boomed. So to use him in a trade to move Hicks is a win in my book.
  3. Looking to catch lightning in a bottle, or throwing everything at the wall and hoping something sticks.
  4. Right now 2B is set up for Cora to platoon. As of right now I don't think the post trade deadline 2B is part of the organization unless someone plays above and beyond their past track record. The Sox will start the season and see if the pitching -defense is a winner for them. With so many young players you don't know how the offense will do. If they score enough with a defense first second basement this might work.
  5. The Dodgers spending is what is going to lead to the lockout! Right or wrong other teams don't or can't spend like them. What they are doing is what the Yankees use to do. A team that spends like that can cover up for mistakes (players not playing up to their contracts) and injuries . The Dodgers had a lot of salary that didn't make their playoff roster last year.
  6. This is as strong of a rotation the Sox have had in a long time. The depth is great as well. Having Bello as the 4, when last year he was number 2 shows the strength!
  7. Tristen who, we hardly knew you. His place on the 40 man was redundant! Never really got that trade.
  8. Injuries and hot bats will have a lot to do who is in the daily lineup. What looks like extra bodies now, usually takes care of itself.
  9. The Sox are right there with the New York teams. The hope with the Sox is that the younger players take the next step and will increase the fWAR in 2026.
  10. Agree! He broke down last summer. I don't see this contract aging well!
  11. The deeper I look at his number the more I am liking this signing. Teams that have to see Crochet and him in back-to-back games are going to struggle. Crochet hard stuff and Suarez's soft stuff. I think it makes them both more effective.
  12. After his fast start the pitchers changed their approach to him, and he didn't make the adjustment. Good hitters are constantly making those adjustments.
  13. I don't think the other Suarez plays D good enough for what the Sox need. If you are going to win with pitching then you need the D!
  14. Unfortunely, Cubs are going to want one of them in any trade for Hoerner.
  15. Or, a trade for a 2B or 3B could be coming!
  16. Agree! When I first saw the report I wasn't too excited, but after looking closer at his stats it started looking like a good deal. The guy has pretty good numbers, and shows up in October. I still believe the Sox will make one more trade for an infielder for either second or third.
  17. Duren is a workout beast! He also avoids injuries during the season. Maybe, the others in the camp can learn from him and do a better job staying on the field. Everyone else there has had issues with injuries.
  18. Agree, it seems like each offseason the problem continues to grow. Still way to many impact players still not signed and we are a month away from pitchers and catchers. It seems to work for the players coming over from Japan. Forces teams to put their bids in and not drag out the process.
  19. Agree, both Houck and Casis have both had some successes and are still inexpensive. Houck was an All-Star pitcher not to long ago, and Casis could be a source of power the Sox have been looking for.
  20. Agree! I am good with 4 years, but the 5th I think at the $$$ is asking for trouble.
  21. I agree, Bless was suppose to be the next big thing. Just another example of hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do in sports.
  22. Contreras much like Gray, his number look better then you thought. Still with one of the Sox goals to improve the D, his defense will go a long way for that to happen.
  23. KC and Casis are the wildcards for the Sox in 2026. Heading into spring training we don't know how ready they will be able help the Sox. If both are able to help then maybe a trade could happen. Right now it wouldn't surprise me if they both start the year at AAA. But neither are going to be there all summer.
  24. Unfortunely, doesn't look like the D-Backs are going to move Marte, The GM all but said that he will remain in Arizona. So he is not the solution to Sox lack of production.
  25. Yoshida lack of power, but hit tool, is the reason why the Sox have been searching for more power. If they had more power they could plug Yoshida in the 2 hole and be fine,
