Yes it burns an option.  Doesn’t mean Romy couldnt be on the postseason roster; they can use anyone who was on the 40 man on August 31 (plus anyone on the 60 day IL on that date).

AAA season ended early this week, so it’s not like Romy has been sitting for too long.
