Well this is going to be another ugly one. The Early trade is starting to hurt.

How?  Early has yet to throw a pitch for Washington.  It would be no difference if he was still in Boston.

Whaat was the thinking starting a AA pitcher?  I'd rather have monasterio out there.

How the hell is Paez still in the game?! He just gave up 6 runs in two innings!

Several reasons.

1) Sox are unlikely to come back this far against a guy as good as Woo (not saying it can’t happen, but it’s very unlikely).

2) Sandoval’s the starter tomorrow, more likely to need multiple bullpen guys then..  You don’t blow through the pen in what is almost certainly a lost cause.

There’s absolute no reason to keep your key starters on the field.

Might as well play the Double-A lineup for the Double-A pitcher, watching Paez pitch is pissing me off.

Not sure I have seen less capable pitcher brought up for a start

The paid crowd getting ugly and rightfully so. This is like a ST or exhibition game

OK, so WTF are we watching?  Is someone (Chad?) trying to deliver a message to someone else (Brezlow?).  Obviously this is a statement game of some sort, but we fans have no idea who's saying what to whom.  We get it. Major league players are better than AA players.  Why does this guy need to be embarrassed like this?

You’re watching a guy take one for the team.. Sometimes it has to be done.

Another reason Breslow should be fired. Rutschman cant hit, cant throw anyone out, and does not challenge strikes called balls. We have no decent starters tonight

, and have to bring up guys like Paez getting killed. We gave two top pitching prospects for Rutschman, Anthony Eyanson (BAL) who has not been fazed since joining the Orioles system. Since the trade, he has posted a 2.14 ERA across 21.0 IP while striking out 32 batters The Orioles top prospect now owns a 1.51 ERA and 36.8 K% this season. Breslow also traded away young top starter Kyson witherspoon for Rutschman. Witherspoon recently threw 56 strikes on 89 total pitches. He’s now down to a 1.26 ERA in three starts since the trade, with opponents hitting just .184 against him.

How does Breslow even have a job!!

The Flops made the wise decision to tank and try to get into the third WC spot. Smart move!

No, I am not watching the “game”. If I was a fan who paid money to watch the game at the park I’d be mad as hell.

If I heard what I’m pretty sure I heard, Tracy had never seen this 22 yearl old pitch.  I haven’t been following AAA AA closely lately but I have to assume that they have no pitches left down there.  I feel sorry for whoever this kid is.

He failed to do the job over the winter so in a transparent attempt to save his job he tried to fortify the offense with this trade.

Honestly, respect to Paez. He’s taking one for the team 🫡

Admission to the park should have been free

This is the kind of games you had to go all-in. I went so it doesn’t hurt that much. The freaking line was +100. You just can’t let that pass out.

well he failed!  breslow is same guy who gave away Connelly Early too.  He has gutted our top prospects for a bunch of average players.  I am amazed he brought up Gasper yesterday, but that was only because contreras went on IL.  breslow is the worst GM in years.  But the owner Henry is happy with him because he is not signing anyone to a big contract taking profits out his pocket.

To be fair he also signed Contreras, Durbin, and Suarez (who has been ok sometimes). But he failed to get another bat over the winter and signed a couple of bums like IKF. I expect better from a GM In a big market team. And the bottom line is that we have either finished out of the playoffs or had a one and done for as long as I can remember.

Its unacceptable

I also believe the Suarez 5 year contract will be very disappointing.

Say it for what it is. This team is so bi-polar that it feels like a goddamn roller coaster.

The good news is that the fan base, media and bloggers are very stable solid citizens while the team goes up and down

I think he’s still hurt.  He was pitching very well until that second I’ll stint.  His stuff isn’t going to be as affected by age as a fireballer, so he’s got that going for him.
