He had 3 appearances with the White Sox early this year , so it’s not his major league debut.  No reason to be awed.

He got hit hard in those games too.  He’s not awed, he’s not unprepared, he’s just not very good.

Unless the Sox offense gets it close again, he’s going to take one for the team.
