Are you frekin' kidding me? Bennett has thrown 55 pitches, 44 for strikes. He's the man.

Give the man couple of more days off between starts!!!!!!!

I think he threw 32 pitches in four innings after his slow start.

Only Fred can complain about a 3-4, 2 RBIs, and a SB.

Did you see the stat where Ceddanne leads the league in 2 strike hits?

Of course, it's likely he gets to 2 strikes more than anyone else, but that's still pretty impressive.

Among Sox players.... (before today's 2 hits w 2 strikes)

.218 BA in 289 PAs Rafaela

.212 BA in 272 PAs Contreras

.164 BA in 283 PAs Abreu

.135 BA in 261 PAs Duran

Our magic number is 26, Any combination of our win and or a loss by the Rangers will get us into the playoffs with 32 games to go.

That's what accountants do at age 70.

That statement is misleading. He NEVER HAD any plate discipline.

I'll continue to point out his weaknesses-the ones who wear blinders ignore.

Then you were misleading.

Nobody is saying he has plus plate discipline, so who is wearing blinders?

Mr. Stawman?

Plus?

not even average

awful in fact. During the broadcast the announcers mentioned that he has a 58% chase rate with two strikes. I doubt anyone else in baseball is even close to that.

Least of all me. But I do need to point out both the strengths and weaknesses of the players. It’s what people do on a baseball forum

Are you one of the ones who wear blinders? I don’t remember accusing you of that. To refresh your memory here’s what I actually wrote:

I didn’t specify anyone in particular nor will I

You just can’t stand it when I post with a fair and balanced outlook. We’ll get use to it. I intend to compliment players who do well and criticize them when they don’t.

Of all the dumb rabbit holes that Fred has stumbled into, this is among the worst.  Ceddanne is the #2 CF in baseball.

Yup

A d he still has no concept of the strike zone. His chase rate with two strikes is 58%. That stinks.

Fair and balanced…..his play in CF is excellent. He’s having a great year overall. AND there are still areas for improvement.

It can't last much longer.  He's already up to a 2-game hitless streak.  That might be the new MLB record.

You must be new to Sox baseball if you're not aware of Abreu's cold streaks.
