Team rankings:

30th in SLG at .335 (.053 from 15th & .134 from 1st)

29th ISO .109 (.001 from 30th, .042 from 15th & .082 from 1st)

We can safely say we are the weakest team in MLB< so far.

We are 26th in OBP, so it's safe to say this has been a big weakness.

We are 23rd in RP fWAR but 11th in xFIP. I'd still say our pen is a weakness.

Our SP'ers are 28th in fWAR (27th in ERA-)

We are 13th in K% but 25th in BB/K, so this is a weak area, too.

Fangraphs has us 2nd in Baserunning metrics, so maybe I was wrong there.

We are 3rd in DRS and 2nd in OAA, so our defense is not a weakness.

But they're 1st in our hearts.

I believe Story has an excellent chance at passing Schanuel.

In fact, the odds of Story passing Schanuel are the same as the odds of Story passing waivers.

Hopefully this is a sign they are turning around. Crochet for instance gained a lot of confidence today.

BTW posting on this site is a torture. For some reason I have to do it always twice.

Tomorrow we will most likely be wishing we had saved some of today's runs for the 3rd game, we actually hit a home run, amazing

Lord have mercy, Durbin actually hit a home run. We all saw who put put on the power display today, the mini person and the guy with a name that reminds me of a horror movie villan.

I told my wife Monasterio would hit a granny.

That being said, I don't bring up all the times I make wrong predictions.

LMAO

I get it, usually I am decent at calling something, but not this year so far, at least nothing good

Celebrating a homer off the left fielder is rather pathetic.

so Durbins "smash" was a fluke?

i get it, but this team needs all the reassurance and confidence it can get.

Wong must catch Crochet moving forward. Futhermore he should take most of the load moving forward, he has earned it.

The Sox have now scored 23 runs in their last 5 games.

Sox are averaging 10 runs scored per game in this whole series!

In road games this entire season, Boston has averaged 5 runs scored per game!

Obviously no issues with the O.

This for all you advocates of the bunt. Now argue that it worked because it wasn't a DP.

If you are referring to IKF, it was a great bunt.  Alonso made an excellent play to get the lead runner, or it would be 1st & 2nd with -0- outs.

While true, the fact that a perfect bunt does not work, sometimes is an point that supports the position against bunting.

I'm glad MLB has rules, but the whole "non-pitcher" thing is just stupid.  Teams carry THIRTEEN pitchers. They can squeeze another inning out of the back of that bullpen.

And yes, celebrating off the left fielder is sad. But you know what's worse? Taking pitches from him.  Were the Sox really trying to time their swings in garbage time?

The Orioles clearly gave up - why didn't Boston?   They bring in an OF to pitch, just swing.  It's not about stats at that point.  I want to say it's unsportsmanlike, but honestly, so is bringing in the outfielder to pitch...
