They say that it's not an injury with Roman and it's mechanical. Do you believe them?

Let’s remember they had Anthony out before a game last year after he was called up teaching him how to field ground balls in the outfield.

They should be doing defensive drills every week. Have you seen these guys?

It's the Red Sox. Of course, it's an injury.

They're going to run Anthony into a wall and will ruin him for a year plus.

Putting the Wally head on Contreras after his homer in the 9th made a bigger mockery of this team.

I'm surprised Contreras didn't throw the head out of the dugout -- notice when he was barking at the entire Brewers team, not one Red Sox was backing him up... they looked like they didn't want to go near him.

His new teammates either don't care to fight his battles or fear him as a lunatic who might turn on them (that wasn't meant as a political statement, i swear).

The only way to save the season is to sacrifice the Wally head to the baseball gods. Bring it out to the mound pregame with an Old Hickory and beat it senseless. If that's too violent, fill it with m-80s and let Weissert light the fuse. In the very least, have Anthony shoot off a roman candle from inside the head.

Any other Kill Wally Head ideas are welcome on this forum!

If it's the same head, why not have it at Game 1? What was the wait for?

Outfielders with 10 years in MLB do those drills.  It’s extremely difficult to master charming a groundball in stride and fielding it with your proper leg forward so you can come up throwing, all without ever stutter-stepping.  Plenty of experienced outfielders still fail at this task.  Not everyone can be JD Drew out there…

Unfortunately, the real problem is JH and he can't be fired. Firing anyone else won't fix the problem.

We can call for Henry to be fired for limiting the budget.  But plenty of teams have spent far less money to go better than 2-8…

The problem I have with Henry is that he isn't consistent with the budget and hasn't stuck with a CBO for long enough. It can't be a revolving door for the CBO and a lifelong appointment for the EVP's.

After seeing throws up the line and nowhere close to the plate for a decade I'm pretty convinced that outfielders can't throw anymore.

Hit a cutoff man? What's that?

It was one thing to watch Bradley throw a ball from 350 feet away that made it to the plate in the air, but sailed up the line 10 or do feet.  But Anthony’s throw last night looked like a right-handed outfielder seeing what it was like to throw left-handed…

That throw was like the one Manny cut off from Damon.

Yeah, another one telling everyone else to participate in a boycott they won’t join…

But I am joining it! I refuse to attend one more FLOPS game until Henry sells the team. Are you with me?

No.  I plan on going every time they come to Chicago.  At either park…

Do visiting teams get a share of the gate?

I haven't been to Fenway for many years, but I do see the Sox play here in HOU and try to see them in other away games, when I can.

I want to see them play at PITT, but I'm not sure I can be there, this AUG.

Then you will have to accept that we will never win another ring as long as Henry owns the team, and that you are supporting him. Count me out.

At this point, they can't play Anthony in the OF until his arm is playable. He's a DH going forward. This has been the case since Opening Day.

A 21 year old DH, who can't play the field ?  Yoshida, but younger .

Very hard to accept that Roman Anthony cannot be trained to throw a ball from LF in Fenway .  There are high school kids doing it well.

I think there's an underlying injury right now. He was a great OFer last year. It's not there right now. Very weird for a healthy guy.

I'm convinced I could have made a better throw. And I'm 67 years old.
