This will be an entertaining season. I've always felt a very good team or a very bad team are both entertaining in their own different way.

A ,500 team is boring.

I think this is a .500 team.

Yes-boring

You're more optimistic than I am.

Remember it'll be impossible for Chapman to be as effective as he was last season. Add that to the rest of this team and you'll understand my lack of optimism.

This is a bad team

Pathetic throw by Anthony, but the second run scored because Whitlock failed to back up home.  Second time that’s happened in 3 games (Chapman did it Saturday)..

WTF is wrong with Anthony"s arm. His last 3 throws from left have been awful.  A guy from 1B is called safe ( subject to review) at home due to the crappy throw escaping Narvaez.  Whitlock isn't back it up, as Chapman didn't the other night.

This team is playing some fundamentally poor baseball

I'm not typing fast enough to beat your accurate comments, illinois

Is Anthony getting Chuck Knoblach/Steve Sax disease?

I know some here have all the stats that show Whitlock to be a superior pitcher.

Here's reality.  He uses way too many pitches to get 3 outs.  37 the other night before taking 3 games off to help with the baby and 27 tonight while surrendering the lead runs ( only 12 strikes) .   He does not have command of an OUT pitch to finish these key innings.

He may be OK as a middle reliever but i don't see him as very effective this year.    Another bullpen loss brewing

Yeah I’m at a loss. Suarez sucks, Bello sucks, story sucks, Durbin sucks bullpen isn’t great. This team is weird just can’t put my finger on it but everything looks so hard.

He’s a good pitcher, he’s not a great one.  He’s on more often than not, but he’ll still have his share of blah outings.

I think part of his issue the last two games is lacK of work.  He went what, almost a week before that outing last Thursday?  Then 3 more days off.  That’s no way for a reliever (particularly a front end one) to stay anything close to sharp,

The bad certainly outweighs the good on this new version of JH's cash grab.

They are pressing and they really look like a team that’s going out there thinking how are we going to lose this one.

Unwatchable

The fans have simply got to boycott the park. Or show up and turn their backs in unison.

When has that ever happened in recent memory?

They're letting JH have their money, also.

Yep, and at this time of year, it’s not like visiting fans are filling the stands like we’ve seen with several other opponents.

Nobody stepping up with a key play in the field to rob a hit, no XBH with 2 or 3 on , and no BP guy shutting it down when the win is possible.  No starter truly dominating after Crochet's Game#1

They should have cleaned house this past winter.
And Henry the cheapskate needs to sell the team or we will never win another ring.

Never

but there have been times when there were open seats. That’s a start.

it's been that way ever since Cora became manager. except for 2022, the Sox have committed the most or second most errors in the league. the players change, but s***** fielding and s***** coaching continue year after year.

JH spent a lot of money to win those four championships. Now he wants It back.

Contreras gets a 2 out HR which looks good as a stat but does nothing to contribute to winning a game. Not his fault.

The 2 run butchery , after 2 outs, by a combo of Whitlock and Anthony sealed the deal.

Dominating starter?  I’d settle for competent.

He could probably sell the RS + his 80% claim in NESN and Fenway for north of 10b he will get his money back x10x on that day.
